I’m leaving reviews of the plastic surgery clinics I’ve been visiting since last week. I hope this helps even a little. My nose is small, low, and has thin skin, so it can’t be raised much. I wanted a natural and cute image, so when I went to the plastic surgery clinics, I brought photos of IU and Kim Gyu-nam. haha
1. The Door Plastic Surgery I said I wanted to consult with Director Kim Tae-seop, but I only consulted with the consultant. The consultant listened to my photos and the kind of nose I wanted, and drew a nose line on the side-profile photo I had brought. I told them that I liked my nostril wings, and they said filler might be a good option in that case. It was disappointing that I couldn’t consult directly with the director. Maybe because I made the appointment about a week in advance, there was no waiting time. There was no photo shoot either. There was no consultation fee. When I looked into fillers, there were too many cases of side effects (not at this clinic, just from what I looked up separately!!), so I thought I should have surgery rather than filler and decided to keep going around for consultations haha
2. Naturalism Plastic Surgery I consulted with Director Kim Deok-jung. I first told the consultant the basic shape I wanted, and shortly after, I consulted directly with the director. As others said, he was very kind. His voice was also gentle.. haha He seemed to be trying to understand the direction I wanted. He looked carefully at the photos I brought and the notes I had written. He said that among the photos I brought, noses higher than IU’s could make the cartilage show through, so Kim Gyu-nam’s nose would be risky. He recommended silicone for the nasal bridge, and ear cartilage plus donated costal cartilage for the nasal tip. Among the places I consulted, I felt this clinic understood my needs the best and that the aesthetic I wanted matched well with the director’s style. (This is an extremely subjective opinion!) After the consultation, I spoke with the consultant about the date, cost, and deposit. They quoted 4** million won for rhinoplasty. (All the hospitals quoted prices in the 4-5 million won range. There wasn’t a big difference between clinics.) There was no consultation fee.
3. With U Wonil Plastic Surgery They said the photos I brought didn’t have much meaning. They said it would be more helpful to bring my own side-profile photo or a Photoshopped version. Like the other clinics, they said it couldn’t be raised much. (The director talked a lot about the direction of the nose surgery, but I don’t remember well.. I’m sorry) For the nasal bridge, they mentioned silicone, and among nasal-tip materials, they mentioned dermis. The atmosphere was very quiet, and the consultant was also very by-the-book. They really only talked about the necessary things like the cost, materials, etc., almost like AlphaGo, and finished things neatly haha They took photos with a camera after putting a headband on me, and I paid 10,000 won for the consultation fee.
Since it was my first consultation and first rhinoplasty, there were many things I lacked, but while going to consultations, I really felt that I needed to clearly explain the nose I wanted.. For example, rather than simply bringing a photo of IU, I should say, “I’d like my nostril wings to be a bit rounded like IU’s~” so the director can clearly catch what I mean.. Also, every clinic really has different surgical methods and directions they pursue, so I think it would be good to visit about 6-7 places, gather a lot of information, and ask questions like, “This clinic said this.. is that really true?” Hmm.. And I think it’s better to pack the consultations into two or three days. I made my appointments in a hurry, so I had to match the clinics’ schedules and spent a whole week just going around, but then there’s a delay until making a decision.. (This is my personal opinion!)
