It’s been about a month since I had nose surgery with autologous dermis, so I’m writing a review like a little recap haha
First, my eyes are large, but I have a round face shape and my nose was also a round, wide bulbous nose, so I thought I looked too dull, and that’s why I decided to have surgery I’m very timid, so I had only been thinking about surgery, but my friend’s nose surgery turned out so pretty and I was so envious that I made up my mind and got it done. Before that, I had only tried fillers haha
My nose had a slight hump, and I wanted to get rid of the hump and improve the spread-out nasal tip, so I started looking into clinics through an app and recommendations from acquaintances. I think it took quite a while before I actually went for in-person consultations. With the situation these days, I wanted to keep consultations to a minimum I did a lot of online research and only visited two places in person! As I wrote above, since I’m very scared, I didn’t want to have surgery twice, so I looked into autologous dermis, which they say does not cause inflammation. (It would depend on management, of course.) It seems like it’s usually done a lot for revision surgery, but I thought a scar on my buttocks would be better than getting inflammation lol So I picked two places whose reviews I liked the most, had consultations, and chose the one I felt more drawn to. The other clinic also gave a very thorough consultation, which was good, but this clinic explained every single thing in detail until I could understand it, so I felt more drawn to them. Lastly, I did hesitate between no implant and autologous dermis, but I felt that with no implant, the bridge of my nose wouldn’t change much, so in the end I chose dermis!
I had surgery using autologous dermis + septal cartilage, and I had heard that dermis could be a little bumpy, but when the splint came off, the line was so smooth that I was surprised haha As it settled, it became more natural, but at the very beginning it was so high that I was taken aback too lol Since they overcorrected considering absorption, and I also had a lot of swelling, I think that made it look even more like that. I was worried about the swelling, but what worried me even more was the tight pulling around my nose The area around my nostril wings and philtrum pulled a lot, so I was quite concerned, but when I stopped paying attention after being told to wait and see, at some point the pulling sensation had decreased a lot. It doesn’t pull much when I smile either, and the foreign-body-like feeling has also decreased a lot. There is still major swelling left, but the swelling between my eyebrows has gone down a lot too, so the Avatar-like feeling is gone!
Since I didn’t put in an implant, I don’t have to worry about inflammation, and my nasal bridge is much higher than before, so I’m satisfied haha I also like that the spread-out nasal tip feels like it has been lifted nicely. These days I’m living comfortably, even wearing glasses. It will take more time before it feels more comfortable and like my own nose, but I’m going to watch it slowly! haha
