3 weeks + 1 day review after total removal of silicone, septal cartilage, and ear cartilage

<Front and side views before and after removal><Nostril shape before and after removal>Hello~ I brought a surgery review For the reason for removal and other details, plus previous reviews, please check my written posts

On 5/7, I had total removal of the septal support strut (the support strut was septal cartilage + ear cartilage), ear cartilage at the nasal tip, silicone, and capsule. I think the surgery took a little over 2 hours? I arrived around 9:30. Since the surgery was at 10, they prepared me from before then, I lay down, they disinfected, did various things, and the time I came out of the operating room was 12:38.

Exactly 3 weeks.. no, 3 weeks plus one more day has passed!!! It is day 22, tutu

If I list everything from week 1, including small symptoms in detail: 1) On days 10-13, when I ate using the right side, the inside of my nose hurt (gone now; I assume it was because the inside had not healed)

2) On days 10-16, bruising suddenly appeared on the nasal tip, and I thought it was pigmentation, so I could not sleep. I even had a panic attack, but in the end it was bruising, and it all faded. However, the faint pigmentation and depression-like symptom from the middle of the columella to the nasal tip that I already had before removal remain the same. Of course they would.. I did not receive a skin graft, so removal would not improve them

3) Around week 2, I blew my nose hard and bloody boogers came out twice

4) It was probably around day 13? For about 3 days, the inside of my nose throbbed and ached unpleasantly. Today, day 22, it is just a sharp prick?! about twice total in a day

5) I do not know whether the contraction period has come or not. During symptom 4, the bridge area was a little dry for about two days, with a slight tightening like the skin was taut, and from two days ago, there has been a faint tight feeling inside the nose, like a plaster pack had been applied

6) Days 20-22 (ongoing): if I make exaggerated facial expressions, laugh, or open my mouth wide while eating, the area between my left eye and glabella hurts like pressing on a bruise

7) It is not a symptom, but if you look at the photo taken from under the nose, my alar cartilage was protruding near the columella because it had been pressed by the implant and inserted cartilage. During removal, that area improved through cartilage repositioning, though not 100%. They say that with removal, it is difficult to expect areas like deformation of the original nose caused by cosmetic surgery to improve just by removing things. Removal is literally removal

That is about it for the symptoms! I am trying to control my mindset, thinking it is natural for the inside to hurt enough to bother me since the surgery took over two hours. It is not as easy as I thought, though..

My nostrils are pretty uneven They were like that before nose surgery, they were like that during the nose surgery above, and they are like that after removal too. Unless I have surgery related to the alae, the nostril wings will not shrink, right~ It is my face, so I am just going to accept it and live with it hahahaha They are really ugly nostrils, but who is going to look closely at my nostrils!!

They say swelling keeps going down for months, so I will watch it slowly I washed my face standing up until after more than 2 weeks, and I still wash my hair standing up! I absolutely do not use nose pore strips, and since I already had a water peeling device, I only use it on the alae. It has no irritation at all

It is an ugly nose, but there are members who are curious about the recovery, and before removal I also read reviews in this community, made up my mind, and had the removal done, so I am writing this review hoping it helps even a little with your decision!

Everyone ✺◟(∗❛ัᴗ❛ั∗)◞✺ stay strong, and let us share post-surgery pain and symptoms like this while focusing on recovery!!! Fighting!
