Hello. I’m finally leaving a review too^^ It helped me so much, so I’m writing one. I wrote it in the order of nose surgery, purpose of removal, and review, so please refer to it~
Nose surgery: 10 years ago, I had a closed rhinoplasty with 2 mm silicone + ear cartilage + a slight nostril-base reduction (I’m glad they didn’t touch the nostril base much).
Purpose of nose removal: They say the human body is asymmetrical from left to right. My nostrils were like that too. But as time gradually passed, one nostril in particular started bothering me. And when I slept facing left, I felt like my nose was shifting that way (the doctor said just saying it feels that way isn’t enough lol). I had cartilage show-through at the nasal tip too. There was also an aching feeling in my nose. It may have been because of rhinitis, but my breathing also felt that way, so I made up my mind to “remove” it.
Oh no! I couldn’t remember the hospital where I had my nose surgery!! It was 10 years ago, after all (cough)
Starting with YouTube, I somehow looked up hospitals online and gathered information from a community too.
Review: So I had everything removed through a closed approach at the hospital where I had a consultation (since my original surgery was closed, closed removal felt best to me!) -If it’s done closed, won’t the nostrils become uneven? -Will contracture not happen? -What about inflammation? -When will it be stable? -How long until it fully settles back into place? I asked all kinds of questions like these. They answered them in detail. *For worries about nose consultations, ask the doctor, not posts!! haha
I had it under sedation anesthesia, and I slept and woke up without any problems. After the surgery was over, I patted myself on the back (You endured well. You worked hard.) They placed a bandage under my nose. They told me to remove it in the evening and apply medicine inside the nostrils, so I applied it and went to sleep.
Ah! I’ve become Avatar too. lolol It kind of looks like a lion’s nose too lol Still, somehow a round, soft nose looks more lovable than a pointed nose haha
I’m planning to take good care of it going forward, hoping no blood collects, the swelling goes down, and it heals without any inflammation~
+After nose removal, I don’t think it can become 100% completely my original nose. It was a nose that had been operated on;; And my memory of my nose is from 10 years ago >.< Since I can’t know what my nose would have been like if I had never had plastic surgery >.< The anxiety and discomfort I had inside have been resolved~ I’m going to age naturally haha +You probably have a lot of worries about choosing a hospital and the cost. I was like that too. Hmm~ I really think, rather than reading posts, you should do a 1:1 consultation, ask everything you want to ask, and go to the place where you feel you can make up your mind(?)^^
*Additional info: The hospital is near Apgujeong Exit 4, and it is a hospital often mentioned in this community haha
