In my case, my original nose shape wasn’t bad, just an ordinary nose, but because my nose was low and flat, I ended up getting work done on it.
I first tried filler and it wasn’t bad, so I decided to get rhinoplasty. I had a closed approach with 2-3 mm silicone for the nasal bridge + septal cartilage to raise the nasal tip.
But before even a full year had passed, the silicone started shifting, so I had a second revision at the same hospital. This time it was done with an open approach, raising the nasal tip a little more.
After the swelling went down, I was fairly satisfied because my impression looked more urban and my nasal tip was higher.. but after a year, concerns kept growing due to side effects such as cartilage visibility, deviation, and visible silicone edges, among others.
My skin was very thin and my nose was small.. Looking back, I also wondered why I ever touched it.
The discomfort continued: my nose was hard, I couldn’t even touch it properly, and I couldn’t blow my nose freely. At that point, I really didn’t want to do anything more to my nose. I just wanted to take everything out.
For several months, I researched a lot and looked up information, and that’s how I learned about dermis. After going to ㅂㄴ in Apgujeong for a consultation, I made my decision. Thinking, this is the last time..
After surgery, there was an avatar-like period, and I also had correction for deviation, but because the result was good, I could endure the process too. To get what you want, waiting is necessary too, right?^^
The biggest advantage is that I can touch my nose however I want and blow my nose, and I think the height also comes out about as high as with silicone. The natural nasal contour and volume are good too~~
Only now did I realize that a nose surgery that looks obvious can eventually cause problems. I think naturalness may be the most “me” appearance.
They say absorption can continue until 1 year and 6 months, so I’ll have to keep waiting, but in photos and from the side view, the height and shape feel like my original nose became prettier~ If I hadn’t known about dermis, I might have removed everything and ended up with an upturned nose, but I think I have no regrets choosing dermis as a restoration material! Because an implant has to be replaced with another implant.
