Nose Re-Surgery@rhino-redo

I finally had the removal done!

Today I finally had the removal doneㅠㅜㅠㅠ The surgery was at 10 a.m.! My original surgery consisted of nasal bridge silicone / nasal tip donated costal cartilage, septal cartilage, ear cartilage / soft tissue removal / alar base reduction. Because I had previously had double-jaw surgery, my anterior nasal spine was damaged, and when they looked during removal, it seemed like my nose would collapse if they removed and discarded the septal cartilage, so they left out only the part where they had reinforced the septum using the septal batten graft method, and removed all the rest: the silicone, donated costal cartilage, ear cartilage, and capsule. (This was something they had told me in advance, and I also think not collapsing is more important than total removal, so I don’t really have any particular thoughts about leaving it.) And near the end of the surgery, I woke up and looked at my nose in the mirror, and it was my original noseㅠㅠㅠㅠ If anything, it looked a little prettier than my original noseㅠㅠㅠㅠ They say the nose right after removal is the most similar to the nose after recovery, so I just really hope that’s true. I also had such a hard time, and I don’t know if it’s because I still have the splint on, but I feel so relievedㅠㅠㅠㅠ My tip for enduring it seems to be not coming into this community. While I stayed away from this community, I really became emotionally stable and got a lot of my daily life back. Of course, in my case, I had removal because of simple psychological anxiety, so that might be whyㅠㅠㅠ Anyway, once the splint is removed and the major swelling goes down, I’ll take photos and upload them!
