My first surgery was simple and closed, and for the second surgery, I had revision rhinoplasty with silicone using an open approach, and nasal lengthening with ear cartilage. After 8-9 years, the ear cartilage started showing through at the nasal tip, and it became more and more noticeable, so I thought it might eventually protrude.
I wanted to remove the silicone, so I went around for consultations, and they said my original nose was so low that it might look a bit strange if I removed the silicone.... They said I would need costal cartilage because I had used ear cartilage twice and there was not enough left, but I did not want to use rib cartilage. ... But I also could not put silicone in again, so I accepted the possibility of absorption and just went with autologous dermis.... I was worried because the surgery time was long, but I went under sedation two or three times, and knowing the surgical process made me trust them more. They said there were also some stepped areas during the surgery, so they harvested additional ear cartilage and operated with that too. I decided while thinking that later absorption would be fate, and for now I am satisfied. These are photos from days 30-40. The glabella is high. I think it will look natural only after about 3 months.
