I removed the septal support strut, nasal bridge silicone, and ear cartilage, and I had osteotomy and my hump shaved down. I didn’t remove them because I had side effects; I removed them just because I didn’t like it. Nothing is left in my nose, I had everything completely removed.
My current state is more natural than a surgically done nose, and compared with my original nose, the tip is just very slightly higher, and because the hump was shaved, the nasal bridge is low, but overall it doesn’t feel like a low nose, and it’s much better than a surgically done nose.
I was worried because of the hump shaving, but there was no phenomenon where it looked shaved down like a trapezoid, and I was worried it would collapse because they removed a lot of the septal support strut, but because they said it would be okay, I trusted them and had it removed, and it did not collapse.
The capsule was all removed, and they put the septal cartilage back beside where it originally had been.
As for the incision scar, at the time of my first removal surgery, after about 8 months? the scar was not visible even with a bare face, but maybe because this is my second incision now, it shows a little. Even when I apply medicine, there is not much difference. But maybe because my surgically done nose looked artificial, I was so stressed, so I’m trying not to care about this much.
The downside is... looking at removal reviews, many people say they can make a pig nose after removal... I can’t. It’s less hard than when the septal support strut was in place, but the feel is not like my original nose; it feels exactly halfway between a surgically done nose and my original nose. I can’t make a pig nose, and maybe it lifts about 3 mm? It feels hard but soft, and soft but hard.
Could it be that not everything was removed? At that time after removal, they showed me in photos everything that had been taken out. They said it had been a complete total removal... I’m going to ask again onceㅠㅠ
Other than that, there aren’t really any downsides. I think I did well to remove it, and I haven’t had contracture or any particular problems.
I don’t think I should post the hospital where I had removal here, so I can’t write it, but among the 3 famous places, if I say it’s the person who removes the capsule, can roughly tell how many millimeters by touching the nasal bridge, and has a good eye, people who have read a lot of reviews will know exactly.
Each person’s situation is different, so people sent me messages, but I can’t give advice. It’s just that many people are worried after hearing that the nose collapses if the septal support strut is removed, so I recommend that when you go for consultations, you ask a lot about that part.
Oh, and after surgery, maybe because the doctor said there had been a lot of bleeding? they prescribed contracture medication, but I only took it for about 5 days, and because I personally thought contracture wouldn’t happen, I didn’t take the rest and threw it all away. I also didn’t have a contraction period. (It may be impossible to have none, but from the outside, as I felt it, it didn’t hurt and there was no upturning phenomenon.)
