I had SMILE LASIK surgery about 5 years ago. I remember the surgery time being short. It didn’t hurt right away, but after I took a taxi home and the anesthesia wore off, tears kept streaming down. Fortunately, the severe pain soon came under control, and from the next day on there was almost no pain. For surgery, that is.. Wow, I could see signs I couldn’t see before and even read small letters, so it felt amazing and exciting, like a child who had just learned Hangul and started reading words. The best thing about SMILE LASIK is that I don’t have to wear glasses that get foggy because of temperature differences. That alone is enough for me to be satisfied.
