Nose Re-Surgery@rhino-redo

One-month review after nose implant removal (hump removal, osteotomy, septum)

<I’ll show the photos first! This was my surgically done nose at 8 months><Maybe because I didn’t have silicone placed in the nasal bridge, the proportions with the bridge looked awkward, right..?? It suddenly went up sharply ㅜㅜ Since only the nasal tip stuck up relatively high, it looked awkward. Because of that, it even looked like a bulbous nose><This is my original nose. Originally, my natural nose was slightly droopy like this, but after it became too upturned, all my facial proportions were thrown off and I looked unattractive. I waited 8 months for the nasal tip to come down, but since I didn’t see any further change, I thought that if I was going to have revision surgery anyway, I’d rather go back to my original nose>After<This is one month after removal><This is the one-month result. My nose has come down somewhat, and the protruding look has disappeared, so the proportions look more balanced. But since I also had the hump rasped down, it hasn’t come down exactly like my original nose. Since it’s only been 1 month, I’m hoping that as the swelling goes down more, it will become a bit slimmer and come down a little more! Right now, the nasal tip really looks like something between my original nose and the surgically done one~ They say the outline only starts to settle to some extent after about 3 months, so I’m going to wait with a positive mindset! I hope this helps even a little. Also, my friends barely notice the difference, and even my family wouldn’t know unless I told them! Most of the major swelling goes down within a week, so please keep that in mind~^^>I had rhinoplasty 10 months ago using only a septal support strut and cartilage, and because I was dissatisfied with the shape and had difficulty breathing, I had removal surgery one month ago. As of now, my nose is still swollen when seen from the front, and it feels hard when I touch it because of scar tissue, but there isn’t really any contraction phase, and I think I’m just recovering slowly and fairly well~!

Until last week, I was worried because I had a symptom where my nose would run whenever I ate, but starting this week, that symptom disappeared so much that I don’t even think about it when eating, so I’m very relieved.

After removing the support strut, breathing has been getting a little easier week by week, from week 1 to week 2. As for the shape, I don’t know if it can completely return to how it used to be, but it seems reasonably okay! It’s much better than the surgical shape... Also, when I had the surgically done nose, it pulled when I smiled and my smile looked awkward, but now I can smile comfortably~ Yesterday, I drank alcohol for the first time in a month. So when I woke up this morning, my nose was a bit swollen ㅜ (I’m the type who swells when I drink)

Overall, my nose feels slightly tingly when I touch it, but I think it’ll get better soon, and it’s not bothersome! Even though I only had surgery on the nasal tip, I have an overall tingling sensation and swelling~ The internal stitches are dissolvable sutures, so I’m planning to wait until they dissolve.

For reference, I had the removal done with an open approach at the hospital where I had the original surgery, paying only the anesthesia fee! Let’s all go back to our original selves and live without worries, everyone ㅜㅜㅜㅜ Fighting!
