Two years ago, as soon as my entrance exams were over, I first went for hospital consultations. I have high myopia plus astigmatism, and since I had already been told in 6th grade that LASEK and LASIK were not possible for me lol, I just immediately got tested to see if I could have lens implantation. They said that if there wasn't enough space between the cornea to place the lens, lens implantation wouldn't be possible either ㅠ
Anyway, I had the surgery like that (the doctor in charge and the nurses were all kind), and when I came out, my eyes were seriously so dazzled that I couldn't see anything outside;; I came home with my mom supporting me, and after a few hours, I could pretty much see well. From the next day, I even went to my part-time job and did all my daily activities!!
So far, my vision doesn't seem to have dropped below at least 1.0, and I'm very satisfied. First of all, I think the biggest advantage is not having to wear heavy glasses. And even when I occasionally wear circle lenses, it's okay. But for that, I think you need to find lenses with good oxygen permeability? ones that fit you well. Also avoid wearing them for too long.
As for downsides, first, my migraines sometimes get worse ㅠ My eyes also get dry easily ㅠㅠ There is some glare/halos too, but honestly I don't even know if that counts as a downside. It's just tolerable to live with. Other than that, there's really nothing!! I think it's worth the money, as expensive as it is. I recommend it.
