I used septal cartilage at a nose clinic in Apgujeong and ended up with nasal tip drooping, so I'm looking into revision surgery.. This time I'm just going to use rib cartilage, but could I know why people prefer autologous rib cartilage? I feel like donor rib cartilage would be okay too if I go somewhere that uses it well, but has anyone had donor rib cartilage done at Jeㅅㅌ or Saeㄱ? If there’s a reason I have to use autologous rib cartilage, then I don’t know, but if not really.. I don’t really want to choose it unnecessarily. I’m worried about having a scar left.. It’s not like it’s completely invisible, right? If you wear a bikini, it does show, right

I had autologous costal cartilage set aside just in case I need a second surgery. When I checked, they said autologous costal cartilage is firmer and a bit safer because it comes from my own body. With donor costal cartilage, they said absorption rates and how well it stays firm can vary depending on the donor age range, but each hospital has its own tissue-processing technique, so it’s worth asking there.
