<3 months><3 months><3 months><3 months><before><before>First, I think I should write about what my condition was like before getting revision surgery. Before my first nose surgery, my natural nasal bridge was on the low side, so even when I took photos, my face looked flat, and that stressed me out so much, so I had surgery. The problem was that even after the surgery, my nasal bridge didn't get higher. Instead, only my nose became more upturned, so my nostrils were way too visible like an upturned nose, and on top of that, something must have gone wrong inside my nose too because nasal congestion was added... I really hated it so much that I got revision surgery, but it was still low.
Since I had already had open rhinoplasty twice, I worried a lot, but I kept thinking, why did I even get surgery? Confidence matters when taking photos, you know. But since my confidence dropped, the photos didn't come out well. So, really for the last time, I got revision rhinoplasty at a clinic.
It's now been a little over 3 months since the surgery hehe
I wonder if there is still some minor swelling left, but I like it so much, and now I've gotten pretty used to my new nose, so I barely feel any discomfort! I like that the upturned-nose feeling is gone, and I also like that breathing has become easierㅜ I think the nose is the center of the face, and maybe because I like my nose now, I feel like my image has finally changed to match the look I was going for. I recently took profile photos, so I brought them hereㅎ Since it's the end of the year, I also went on an overseas trip, and I've been living well these days><
Oh, and this is something many people looking into revision surgery asked about! It's not that I wasn't worried about scarring, but by 3 months it did fade a lot. Still, I definitely can't say it's invisible. I thought of this as my last surgery, and more than anything else, the nasal bridge was the most important to me, so I decided on autologous costal cartilage to minimize the chance of inflammation. At the clinic, I see the director at every follow-up, and they said it will still take some time before the autologous costal cartilage scar is no longer visible. Of course it probably differs by person, but how long does this usually take?? I'm curious about everyone else's experiences!!
