I had surgery at ㅇㅈ in Gangnam, and after 7 years my nasal tip drooped, the silicone lifted, my nasal septum bent, and it was a mess... Pre-op photos.. for reference
So I didn't really look into it much, and because ㅇㅇㄷ was cheap, I had surgery with Director ㅈㅇㅅ.. I didn't even know who ㅈㅇㅅ was.. and I didn't know which director at ㅇㅇㄷ was famous... I just wanted to catch and raise my drooping nose, so I went ahead and did it lol I should have looked into it more... ㅠㅠ
Maybe because I'm a man, or maybe I just wasn't thinking.. I didn't check multiple hospitals and just went straight there for a consultation, booked for the next day, and had surgery on February 12.
I proceeded with functional nose surgery for rhinitis, something like valting or whatever + cosmetic surgery. They said two directors would operate.
(I thought the operating rooms were separated one by one, but it seemed like the room next door and the room on the right were all open-style, with just one curtain and people going back and forth. I didn't actually see it, so I can't say for sure, but I thought it was a factory...)
I didn't even see the directors' faces, they said they were giving me an injection, and I fell asleep, so in reality I don't know who operated lol
You all know, right? Wanting to go higher for the next surgery.. At ㅇㅈ I think it was 3 mm, so when I consulted with Director ㅈㅇㅅ, I asked for 5 mm. He said he'd open it up and try as much as possible, deciding whether to put in 4 or 5. He said even now it's 3 mm, but the glabella looks high. I figured he'd take care of it...
But why don't ㅇㅇㄷ or ㅇㅈ use ear cartilage for me..?? My original nose was high, but it was a gentle-looking nose, so I had surgery because I wanted it to look sharper.. Did I have that much of my own nasal cartilage...
Anyway... one day is passing for now... In the next review, I'll post about the story of fighting after surgery on the same day and photos after removing the splint next week. I'm meeting the director next Monday, so I'll find out how many mm they put in and what surgery they did.. There were a lot of things that made me angry... ㅆ ------------------------------
It's day 2.. They say I can't write a new post until another post goes up. So I'm putting it here.
First, because my nose is blocked and I have to breathe through my mouth, did I sleep 2 hours... Every time I tried to breathe through my nose, I woke up, so forget sleeping, I just kept drinking water, and went in and out of the bathroom... It's hard. My throat keeps getting bone-dry. How am I supposed to sleep until Monday...
That aside, I guess I really don't have much swelling. It's just slightly swollen and basically totally fine. Usually when I watch YouTube, day 3 swells a lot, so why am I fine lol
There isn't really any special review, just that I can't sleep. When I swallow saliva, force goes into my nose and blood + nasal discharge comes out.. (same when eating..), I'm mad that I can't taste anything.. about that?
Oh, and I'll tell you about the incident that made me angry last time.
I said I visited on the 11th and had surgery on the 12th, right? Since it was functional, they said private insurance reimbursement was possible, so I asked the insurance company and they said I needed an admission/discharge certificate.
So I had already told the manager, coordinator, and receptionist in charge, and they said I had to be hospitalized for 6 hours, then I went into surgery.
Before that, I had consultations with the cosmetic nose director and the functional nose director, and the functional nose director was saying things like, originally, if you raise the nose, you can't breathe well. The right side opening is a bit narrow. Since they used the septum, the septum probably can't be used.. What am I supposed to do with that? (Then do all people who had rhinoplasty not breathe?? Seriously lol) He said he'd figure it out and adjust it for the rhinitis.
So I moved past it with the mindset of, well, you're a doctor, so you'll surely handle it properly + if it goes wrong, I'll flip everything over.
Anyway, first thing that made me angry, and then the surgery director didn't tell me the downsides of donor cartilage, but I had already searched as much as I could on YouTube and websites, and there were comments saying it isn't good.
I said I didn't want to use it. But he said it was fine and that revision surgeries almost always use it. He said he'd open it first and judge. If the septal cartilage used before was normal, he'd reuse it, and if not, he'd use donor cartilage.... Well, if there's no support to raise it, I guess I'd have to use even that.. so I moved on, and that was the second thing that made me angry.
