<45 degrees><Front><Side>It’s finally day 10 now. After surgery, time seems to pass so slowly. Because of Chuseok, I couldn’t have the stitches and taping removed on day 7, but I had them removed today, so I’m leaving a review. After day 5, the tip of my nose still seemed lifted, so I spent each day looking through reviews in this community, and strangely, right when it became day 9, it no longer looked lifted. Now I’m actually hoping it comes down just a tiny bit more and then doesn’t come down any further. There were some reviews saying the aftercare wasn’t good, but even though I kept getting anxious and whining/crying about it every time, they listened well and reassured me, and the director personally did everything from the dressing to stitch removal. The internal stitches haven’t been removed yet.
I didn’t realize because there was almost no bruising or swelling on my face, but once the taping came off, my nose was still slightly swollen and a little yellow bruising was still left! They said that from now over the next week, the remaining major swelling and bruising would go down quickly, and the nasal tip and line would also become more natural. The sebum on my nose is no joke either, and my face looked so dull, so I only added a bit of color to the photos with an app... You’ll be able to see the bruising near the nasal bridge. I applied a lot of eye ointment under my nose, so the white clumps around the columella area and the shiny parts are medication.
For reference, there were three main removal/revision surgery conditions I wanted: 1) I wanted to change my straight, long, high nose into a softer line: after removing the silicone, the long-nose impression became less noticeable, and although they said osteotomy might be needed because of my previous hump nose surgery, I asked them to create a nasal bridge that was neither too broad nor too slim, as much as possible without osteotomy, and they refined it well without doing osteotomyㅠㅠ
2) Lower the high nasal tip that had been pulled upward and tied sharply, making it into a softer line: they said that after taking out the silicone, they would lower the nasal tip height to match the height of the nasal bridge, and they also released what had been tied. I was worried my nose might become blunt, wide, and bulky, but even now, when the swelling hasn’t fully gone down, it doesn’t look that way at all and looks natural.
3) I wanted them to lower it so my nostrils would show less from the front: they said that if the nasal tip height is lowered, the nostrils would naturally show less, and that they would lower it only slightly more so it wouldn’t give a long-nose impression. I think it would look pretty even if it comes down a little more than now, and even if it doesn’t come down, my nose doesn’t look upturned, so I’m fully satisfied. My nasal bridge was crooked and my nostrils were asymmetrical, but both improved.
I feel at ease because in about ten more days, I think I’ll roughly be able to see what shape of nose I’ll be living with. Of course, they said it would continue changing little by little for about a year, but many people say the changes after 3 weeks post-op are minor changes rather than major ones. I hope this is the last time and I won’t need any more cosmetic surgery...
