Hello I finally had it removed today. I had been having such a hard time psychologically, and I felt like I had come out of a long tunnel, so I was too moved not to write this. I’m leaving this here in the hope that it helps everyone. I had it done at a place famous for removal. I got off at Seoul Station, took the subway 2 stops, and arrived with difficulty, panting... When I came above ground, it was snowing and I thought, “It’s pretty~,” but I pushed that aside because I was worried about the surgery and quickly ran into the clinic. On the day of surgery, I was worried and depressed all day. Fasting left me with no energy, and even a nervous headache made it hard. I went in, registered, first bought the medication I would take after surgery, including antibiotics, and then waited for the consultation with the director. Because I have sleep apnea, I had made up my mind to do it under local anesthesia, and I was so scared I was trembling and feeling tiny during the consultation with the director. During the consultation, he reassured me, saying that since I have sleep apnea, he would anesthetize me lightly~ and safely~, so I shouldn’t worry, and I proceeded with sedation. For me, anesthesia was as important as the surgical result, and I think it was good that I chose sedation as the director said. He said, “I’ll keep it light enough that you can talk with me while we do it,” and it really was like that. I had the surgery very comfortably. The operating room nurses and the consultation manager watched over me until before the surgery, came into the operating room and adjusted the medication dosage, so I felt at ease going into surgery until I fell asleep from the anesthesia.^^ The surgery details were: During surgery, they said they would remove the silicone + remove the capsule, remove any cartilage if present, remove scar tissue, do cartilage repositioning, and finish with suturing~
The surgery order was: After changing clothes, they removed my nasal hair, I washed my face and waited, then after consulting with the director about the surgery, preoperative photos were taken (the director took them himself). After that I entered the operating room, they draped everything so only my face was exposed, placed wet gauze so my mouth wouldn’t dry out, and covered my eyes too. The director came in, and at the same time as someone said, “The director is here,” I must have been anesthetized. I was riding a colorful roller coaster? escalator, and then I woke up during surgery while seeing the director’s hands moving back and forth. The director said, “The silicone has been removed, are you okay now?” and called my name too. I stayed awake like that for about 15~20 minutes? and the surgery was finished, then I went to the recovery room. After surgery, I waited while doing cold compresses, and the director came and showed me the silicone and capsule~ I thought, “No wonder it looked artificial when something that thick was in my nose”ㅜㅜ I felt that they paid a lot of attention to me today, and I got the impression that the director and surgical team were excellent~ I really liked it. I truly feel grateful~ I will remember and be thankful for today, when I was psychologically and physically freed, and I will never have surgery again~ These are photos of the removed implant and capsule. I covered them with stickers in case they might be hard to look at with the naked eye.
