On the 23rd, it marked 6 months since removal. (First of all, there were some of you who sent me messages back when I was at the 3-month mark, but I had just started working then and was so busy that I couldn’t come into the community to reply. I’m very sorry. )
In many removal reviews, people say, ‘After 3 months, you stop even looking in the mirror, live really comfortably, and forget you ever had a nose job.’ I’m at 6 months now, and honestly, that is someone else’s story to me. Before removal, I read those reviews and thought, If I remove mine, I’ll end up like that too, but that wasn’t the case.
First, as for symptoms: 1. My nose sometimes gets slightly blocked. It’s not that bothersome, but since I never had that symptom before my original nose, it makes me think about it. It appears in the morning and mostly goes away. 2. A contraction phase comes very occasionally, maybe once every 3 months?? It shows up to the point where the nostrils get slightly distorted, then quietly disappears again. 3. Maybe because the alar base was tied, my nose feels a little uncomfortable. How should I put it... it feels like someone is holding my nose, or maybe the tissues inside are still stiff, so that uncomfortable feeling is still there. 4. Right after removal, I got a slightly sunken area on both sides of the nose, almost like an indentation. The clinic said it was from scar tissue and that if I put on Cica Care it would disappear within a few months, so I wore it almost 24 hours a day. It’s still faintly there; the left side is a bit visible and the right side is there too, but only noticeable if you really look for it. 5. For those who read my post before, do you remember the bruising? The bruise under the nose, lol. It’s still there. The clinic says it’s not bruising anymore. They say it will go away, but I’m not sure. It has faded compared to before. 6. The most important thing is the shape... my nose is a bit bigger than before, but also smaller...? You’ll probably say, what the %&# is that, but there isn’t a better expression... The tip feels a bit less prominent, so it looks smaller, but should I say the alae are wider and larger? The tip somehow feels less there than my original nose. The clinic said I need to wait a year for the tissue to loosen up and soften, and then it will get better. They said the larger alae are from scar tissue. I don’t know. Is that really true... I’ll let you know in a review after a few months. Just by looking at it, it seems like a normal nose that hasn’t been ruined.
The biggest problem with my nose right now is the columella. Just before removal!! The director at the removal clinic said that since the first surgery clinic cut the columella, it wouldn’t descend as much as before, but he said it so casually. I didn’t know that at all. So I thought, If it can be cut without any real problem, then fine, because for the other issues with my nose, they proposed solutions on how to compensate for them. That’s why I went ahead with removal. The clinic manager also said that as time passes and the tissue loosens, the columella will descend. Right after removal, the short columella wasn’t very noticeable, but from the 2-month mark it started to show. So I diligently massaged my nose and even gently pulled the columella downward a bit, and I thought it had improved somewhat, but it still looks like there’s a long way to go. ㅠㅠ But I’m going to keep trying to bring it down. As the saying goes, sincere effort can move heaven, so I believe that if I keep working at it, it will definitely improve!
If I’m being honest, I’d love to put in filler at least, but that’s not really possible right now, and even if I did, I feel like it would disappear quickly. ㅠㅠ What hurts the most is that my surgical nose had both ear cartilage and septal cartilage in it, and they could have compensated with that during removal, but I’m so upset that it was all thrown away. ㅠㅠ
Just before my post, I saw someone say that after 7 months they entered a contraction phase and then had trouble breathing, and that made me scared too. Even after 6 months, I’m still wondering if I have to wait longer. But I don’t regret removing it. Mine was a no-implant nose, but I recently saw another post from someone who had no implant too and still had to remove it because of inflammation. If I can’t keep it until the day I die, then I think removing it while it’s still in decent condition is the better choice. Those doll-like noses from plastic surgery don’t look pretty to me at all anymore..
I’ll pray that everyone succeeds with removal and can live ordinary, happy lives without worrying about their noses.
(If you look at my earlier posts, you can see several posts about removal. I can no longer tell you which clinic it was. I won’t share it even by private message.)
