A small review, 5 years after orthognathic surgery

If I went back, I would absolutely do it again. But I do not want to go back, because I was in so much pain after the surgeryㅋㅋㅋㅋ I’m really happy with my life right now.. If double eyelid surgery changed my life, orthognathic surgery changed my world. Ah~~~~~~~~~~ I really’m glad I did it. But if I praise it this much, people will suspect I’m a shill, right? Ughㄱ- Still, I’m really just an ordinary person.. I joined because I want to look into nose surgery now... I signed up earlier today... Why are some comments hidden unless your level is low? But well, what can you do.. I guess I’ll work hard and stay active. I never thought I’d join a community like this in my life.. Honestly, I wish we had all been born with perfect faces from the start, rightㅠ Or maybe even if we were born that way, we’d still want to fix things, ,,, wow,, Anyway, I had severe malocclusion, so I got orthodontic treatment since I was a minor for surgical purposes, and then I had orthognathic surgery right after becoming an adult. The first month was really so painful I felt deadㅋㅋ and for two or three months I just kept eating soft tofu and rice porridge while recovering hard. The swelling seems to completely go down after a year, I thinkㅋㅋㅋ But even after a year, when I ran, I kept feeling like my jaw was shaking along with my bodyㅋㅋㅋㅋ That feeling is gone now!! Right after surgery, my mouth could only open enough for my thumb to barely fit?!? So I wondered, wow, will I ever be able to open my mouth as wide as I did before surgery like a hippo again? And now? Not as wide as a hippo, but I think I can open it as wide as a lion. Hmm, if there’s an episode I remember: orthognathic surgery is done under general anesthesia, right? After the surgery ended and I woke up from anesthesia, when the nurse was handing me over to my guardian in the ward, she said, "You can’t sleep for 4 hours, so please keep waking the patient up so they don’t fall asleep." I was curious why, so I asked, "Why?"ㅋㅋㅋ She said that sometimes people fall asleep and never wake up againㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ She kindlyㅋㅋㅋ told me such a terrifying storyㅋㅋㅋ ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ But at that time I was in so much pain and still foggy from anesthesia that I just went, ahh!! I see!! and somehow accepted itㅋㅋㅋ Other than that, I don’t think there’s anything else? But if orthognathic surgery goes wrong, you can suffer for the rest of your life.. and it’s even a dangerous surgery where you could die during the operation, right? So I can’t recommend it the way I would double eyelid surgery.. Only do it if you’re willing to stake the rest of your life on it. I’m the type who isn’t easily scared, so I finished surgery well, recovered well, and have been living fine without any problems so far.
