Before before before after after after Hello I had double jaw surgery this time, and I’m now 3 months post-op. Before surgery, I had already had orthodontic treatment when I was young, but my underbite, which was my complex, did not improve, so I ended up having double jaw surgery and 2 types of facial contouring, square jaw and chin, at Y Oral Surgery. Now that 3 months have passed, looking at the progress, they said most of the swelling has gone down, and I think only a little residual swelling remains. It’s going down little by little, so I can feel changes every week. haha Sensation has all returned, and my mouth still does not open as well as before, and I still feel tightness at the intraoral incision sites, so I do mouth exercises occasionally. Because I’m in post-op orthodontic treatment, I try to be careful with hard foods as much as possible. Still, I think I’m able to eat most ordinary meals haha Somehow, when I eat something hard... as the swelling goes down, it’s becoming a little more natural, so although it is a risky surgery, my satisfaction is very high. Also, people around me often tell me my impression has become softer, so I have no regrets at all. And because I gained a lot of confidence, the way I dress up has changed a lot too, and I think it’s a surgery that really raises self-esteem. Thoughts like, this kind of look suits me too, this kind of hairstyle suits me too? They did it naturally without being excessive, so I think it was a good choice. Everyone, if you have an underbite that can’t be fixed with orthodontics like mine, I think considering double jaw surgery could be good too!
