Since I was young, I had a protruding lower jaw, so I was teased and had a very severe complex about it. I got orthodontic treatment and even had long-chin surgery to try to fix it, but it was a surgery that only reduced the length, so it had no effect at all... Thinking about it now, I should have had two-jaw surgery earlier, when I was even a year younger and had less skin sagging. I felt like so much time and money had been wasted, so I had two-jaw surgery and two types of facial contouring including revision genioplasty at Y Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery! This is already my 6-month reviewㅎㅎ Now I’m living normally. Until 3 months, there was pain and it was hard to open my mouth, so it was difficult, but now I eat all kinds of food, and except for my jaw feeling stiff when I’m tired, I don’t really feel anything in daily life. I’m satisfied because my appearance has changed too, and I go around taking tons of selfies. It feels like old grime has been washed off, and the burden on my mind is gone, so I’m happy. I can sleep well lying on my side and eat meat well too. I did develop nasolabial folds and a double chin, which are said to be aftereffects after surgery, but I’m going to try to prevent/manage them with procedures. They don’t bother me much. They said sensation does not return equally on the left and right sides, and my left side is still dull. The right side is almost returning to normal. I can feel the sensation continuing to improve, so I’m living without paying much attention to it. Ah, my jaw hurts when I yawnㅋㅋㅋ I’m doing it carefullyㅋㅋㅋ I was only worried about aftereffects being scary and when I would return to daily life after surgery, but if I knew I’d be doing this well, I should have done it sooner. I’m so happy the surgery went wellㅎㅎ
