For the first year after I had nose surgery with Gore-Tex, cartilage, and AlloDerm, things were okay, but since then I’ve been suffering from chronic rhinitis, and the tip of my nose became red, to the point that I developed social avoidance. The inside of my nose keeps hurting, and if I don’t take medicine, my nose runs so much that it’s hard to live normally. Some days the redness at the nasal tip gets a little better, but once it turns red, everyone notices, so I can’t even make eye contact with people and I avoid them. The hospital says it’s because of allergies, but even after taking medication for over a year, the pain inside my nose hasn’t gone away. I’ve met many different doctors, and since a hospital said there’s a possibility it could be due to the nose surgery, I’ve decided to have my nasal implant removed this time. I’m sure there are many people whose nose surgery went well and who are happy because they live more confidently, but now I just wish my nose could be healthy, even if it’s my old low nose.
