I had double jaw surgery and facial contouring with a student discount

Hello. On February 4 this year, I had double jaw surgery and facial contouring at Y Oral Surgery, using a student discount based on last year, and now I am at the 6-month mark! Now that I am 6 months out, my recovery after surgery has progressed a lot, so in daily life I am living almost the same as before surgery. I can now eat most foods comfortably, and foods I used to be a little careful with now feel much less burdensome. I still try not to push myself with anything too hard or chewy, but the moments when I feel discomfort in daily life have really decreased a lot. Seeing that the exam season is coming soon, I am suddenly thinking, wow, time has already gone by like this...? The swelling also feels like it has gone down more naturally than it had by the 3-month mark. At first I worried about how my face would settle over time, but after about 6 months, my facial line has become much more natural. In particular, I am very satisfied every time I see the side profile, and when taking photos I no longer worry as much about angles or try to hide my face like before. In the past, even when taking a single photo I would spend a lot of time looking for a flattering angle, but now that stress is almost gone. Functionally, I definitely feel much better too. Chewing has become natural, and even when I keep my mouth closed it feels much more comfortable than before. Right after surgery, the recovery process was harder than I expected, and for a moment I even thought, 'Did I do this for nothing?' But looking back now at the 6-month point, I think I really made the right decision to have the surgery. I was especially satisfied even at the 3-month mark, but as more time passes, my face feels like it is settling more and more naturally as my own face, so I feel even more satisfied. I really recommend it to students preparing for the exam and to anyone who is worried about double jaw surgery!
