Nose Surgery Reviews@rhino-review

Revision rhinoplasty consultation at ㅂㄴㄴ

This was my first consultation for revision rhinoplasty I have appointments at a few more places this week Leaving this here for my own records

For my first surgery, I had silicone + septal cartilage + ear cartilage, but my bulbous nose did not improve at all No nostril reduction either, and the nasal tip dropped completely, so my nose looks even longer than before surgery ㅡㅡ

The consultation process was CT scan -> consultation with the consultant -> consultation with the director surgeon -> consultation with the consultant

For revision rhinoplasty, I heard you need to use rib cartilage so it won’t drop, so I booked the revision consultation with rib cartilage in mind Because I went too natural with my first surgery, it didn’t show at all, so I mainly booked consultations at hospitals that do a more glamorous style with clear line changes

The director surgeon’s diagnosis was: the silicone columellar strut is firm, so the strut can be left as is, and the ear cartilage can be reused I need nostril reduction as well to get the line I want

Using rib cartilage is fine, but whether to use autologous costal cartilage or donated rib cartilage was something they told me to decideㅜㅜ They said people whose noses are very stiff or upturned often use autologous costal cartilage But I’ve heard autologous costal cartilage keeps the nasal tip from dropping the best, so I’m still thinking about it The cost difference is only about 200,000 KRW more for autologous costal cartilage, so it’s not a big difference

Aftercare revision coverage is 1 year Cotton removal is on day 3, and the splint and stitches are removed on day 7 If I use autologous costal cartilage, they said I have to wear an abdominal binder over the rib harvest site for 7 daysㅠ The stitches at the rib harvest site are removed on day 10

I got a discount because I booked the surgery on the same day I don’t really want to post the cost publicly, so if you’re curious, send me a private message

I’m thinking of a budget in the high 4 million to low 5 million KRW range I’ll post again after visiting other hospitals too
