Review of Alar Base Reduction (Internal)

<Day of Surgery><Day of Surgery>It was an internal incision. The director said that an external incision involves cutting off and removing skin, so I might regret it later (irreversible), so I went with the internal approach. They said the scar is on the underside, so it’s not very visible. They said that although the internal approach can’t reduce it a lot, it looks natural and nice.

First of all, it’s not a surgery where anyone can immediately tell you had it done. My family doesn’t know I had it done. It’s the kind of surgery only I know about, to the point where people won’t know unless I tell them.

The surgery took about 20 minutes? I opened my eyes and woke up, and it was over lol They told me to think of it as about the same level as double eyelid surgery. Simple..

The process before the surgery is a bit hard, anesthesia and all those steps ㅠㅠ Anyway, after I came out, I was groggy right after surgery, so even when I looked in the mirror, I couldn’t tell whether it turned out well or not.

Once I left the clinic and looked at it while eating, the width definitely seemed to have reduced nicely, but when I lifted my head, my nostrils didn’t seem to have changed much ㅠ Maybe because it was done with an internal incision.. And when I got home and looked, it definitely seemed reduced, so I am satisfied.

I had it done on the 25th. It’s now day 3, and it doesn’t interfere with daily life. I’m being a little careful when laughing.. Ah, it’s so hard not being able to smoke or drink.

But compared to the day of surgery, now that 3 days have passed... maybe it’s swollen, but it looks a bit wide again ㅠㅠ Is this normal?

I liked it on the day of surgeryㅠㅠ

Once it settles, it’ll look as pretty as it did on the day of surgery, right,,? My philtrum, alar wings, and columella area still feel very tight ㅠㅠ
