Nose Re-Surgery

Sutures in the nasal mucous membrane

I had my first nose surgery with septal cartilage and silicone two summers ago. Even then, shortly after surgery, a suture was slightly protruding from the left nasal mucous membrane; I noticed it while cleaning inside my nose with a cotton swab. It did not hurt, so I left it alone, but the suture gradually protruded more. When I visited a plastic-surgery clinic last year, they said it was a non-absorbable suture tying the support to the tip cartilage, and that it could become visible as the mucous membrane thinned. They simply trimmed the suture a little, so I left it alone again. Around last week, I shone a flashlight into my left nostril and saw that only the area where the suture protruded was swollen and white. It does not hurt when left alone, but feels slightly sore when pressed. There is no redness or other problem on the outside of the nose; it looks normal. I went to an ENT clinic today and was prescribed antibiotics T_T But I do not know whether the white area will completely go down just from antibiotics, whether I should have the suture dealt with during revision rhinoplasty, go to a university hospital, or have the nose materials removed. I am distressed T_T I am still a university student, and graduation is two months away, so I wonder whether my mucous membrane can hold out until then. Please give me some advice 🥲
