I had surgery on Friday, so today is day 2, right? lol
Luckily, I didn’t bruise badly, and there’s only a bruise about... 5 cm or so under my chin where it isn’t visible.
Right now I look exactly like Moomin. It’s not extremely bad for day 2, but I feel like a mix of zucchini and Moomin. My fiancé calls me the sulky princess;; They said that because my lips are thin and my oral structure is small, my lips got a lot of cuts during surgery. I’m diligently applying Fucidin, and my lips really are very swollen. The hospital said it’ll probably last about 3 weeks.
I wanted to take a walk today, but it was raining too much so I couldn’t. I still thought I should walk a bit, so I worked hard doing housework. I tried not to sit or lie down. But I still had to work, so while working I kept getting up whenever I could, doing housework and at least walking in place. The hardest thing today was that I was so hungry.. I cried my eyes out on the phone with my friend saying I was hungry. Tears suddenly came out lol. And for no reason I browsed Baemin;; Pumpkin porridge and New Care don’t cover it at all;; Looking at other reviews, people said they ate sweet potatoes or chocolate, but since I can’t brush my teeth and can only use mouthwash, I wondered if that would be okay for my dental health and got worried. Please recommend something I can eat during this period ㅠㅠ I’m so hungry.. Noodles still won’t work yet, right..? haha I want to chew something. I want snacks too, and something, something!!! I need it!!! Should I at least drink fresh fruit juice??
This hospital said they remove the intraoral stitches after 2 weeks. Sob sob.. It’s only day 2 now, how am I supposed to endure 2 weeks?
One bit of good news is that I can wash my face and hair tomorrow. They said I can wash my face if I put waterproof bandages on the sideburn area. And they told me to wash my hair backward. So I booked a shampoo appointment at the hair salon I usually go to. Shampoo is a bit expensive there, but I’m still embarrassed about how I look, so instead of going somewhere new I just booked the place I usually go to. I can finally wash!!!! Since I couldn’t wash my face or apply lotion, I thought my skin would break out, but it just got oily. And the tape glue marks just made it look a little dirty. So I put mist on a cotton pad and did a quick cat wash. Then the oiliness got a bit better and the tape marks disappeared too.
But this really isn’t a simple surgery, and it’s one you have to decide on carefully. I also had a severe complex about my appearance and trauma. I was badly bullied at school for 4 years, and even when I met someone who loves me, I couldn’t confidently take photos.. Everyone tried to stop me and asked why I was doing it, but I just thought they were being nosy. I researched everything online and in person by myself, looked up all the side effects, talked a lot with my fiancé, and then decided, but it’s still not easy. I also decided to accept everything related to lifting and dental issues. I really wanted to live prettily while I’m still even a little young. I’m tearing up even while writing this;; No matter how well I studied or how much recognition I got at work, the wounds that wouldn’t disappear were too big for me. If anyone is thinking about it, I really, really hope you think carefully. My job is also one where appearance is visible, so I have to pay attention to everything from clothes to earrings, and that’s another reason I became even more determined to have surgery. Don’t just look at before-and-after photos and go “Oh!!” and then get surgery just like that!! This is a surgery you could really regret for the rest of your life. Staying only at home has made me cry more. If I cry, my face swells more, so now I have to control my crying too lol
Am I coming here too often..? I feel like doing this at least will make me less bored. Then I’ll come again tomorrow!^^
