3-Month Review After Cheekbone and Square Jaw Surgery

This is my 3-month review after cheekbone and square jaw surgery! Recently, someone in their 50s who was considering surgery left me some questions! I thought sharing my answers here too might help many people in their 40s and 50s who are considering surgery, so I’m leaving this post! When deciding on surgery, I think looking at negative reviews as well can help even more with choosing a hospital! Unless you have good skin elasticity or can continue getting lifting care for sagging after surgery, it’s even more important to have it done by a highly skilled director! I’m young too, but I was someone whose cheekbones were a huge complex, so I know how stressful it can be Personally, after that complex disappeared, my self-esteem went up so much that people around me even said my personality became brighter, so I really think I did the right thing.

Q1. Can you have the surgery alone and return home by yourself? If you’re home alone, how should you deal with an emergency? Are there parts where family help is needed?

->I also took a taxi home by myself! Since I went home after being hospitalized in a private room for one day, by day 2 I had recovered enough that I could even speak well. Because I was wrapped in bandages, there was tenderness, but compared with day 1, I don’t think the pain on day 2 was unbearable. Also, I never had an emergency situation at home, so please take this just as a reference, but if you get through day 1 safely, I don’t think you need to worry too much. On day 1, as the general anesthesia wears off, your body feels extremely exhausted, and the bed angle needs adjusting, you need IV fluids and painkiller injections depending on the pain, and your blood pressure has to be checked continuously, so a nurse came every 30 minutes to take care of me! They helped with everything, including going to the bathroom and drinking water. On day 1, I really did think that this was not a small surgery. The part I needed help with was washing my hair around day 3; my older sister helped me then, and after that I think I figured it out and did it myself.

Q2. When is the swelling the worst?

->I think the swelling was worst from day 3 to day 7. (This period will differ from person to person!)

Q3. They say you can return to social life after one week. Is that true…?

->There are people who say social life is possible after a week,, but in my opinion, it’s definitely a state where anyone can see your face looks strange.. I think you need more than 1 month to go about daily life without wearing a mask. I’m now a little over three months post-op, and looking back, I think it takes more than 2 months to start looking natural.

This review is a surgical review pursuing a natural yet refined look.
