Facial Surgery Reviews@face-review

Review of consultation at ㅇㅂㅇ Dental Clinic

When the director came in, he handed me his business card with both hands, so I got the impression that he was polite(?). The hospital facilities were very pleasant and excellent. The consultation fee was 8,800 won, but since I planned to keep going to consultations, I asked whether I could get copies of my X-ray and CT. They said the copying fee was 150,000 wonㅠㅠ; I said I’d just go somewhere else and take them again. It wasn’t a rough, eyeballed estimate; after taking X-rays, facial CT, and front/45-degree/side photos, he looked at the monitor and explained the areas I was dissatisfied with in millimeter units, so it made sense to me. I had completed non-extraction orthodontic treatment and my occlusion had no problem, but I had a little bit of everything: tooth angulation, nasolabial hollowing, protruding mouth, underbite, and asymmetry, and I disliked my side profile, so I didn’t know exactly what procedure I needed. He said if the normal tooth angle is 110 degrees, mine is 122 degrees, so my teeth are indeed slightly flared, and if I do extractions there is a high chance of becoming sunken-mouthed. I have an impacted wisdom tooth on the maxillary side, but he said it doesn’t matter. My alveolar bone is also protruded by 2.5 mm, so I slightly fall under both dental protrusion and alveolar bone protrusion, which is why I felt my mouth looked protruded. For women, -5 mm is best for the chin tip, but mine is 0 mm, so my chin is also slightly protruded, and he said I have asymmetry tilted 4.8 mm to the right. He said it was fortunate that the left side has many nerve lines and the bone is also large, so there is extra bone that can be shaved down. He explained that if I have facial contouring surgery, there may be a slight slimming effect, but it won’t affect my side profile, so the best option would be double-jaw surgery to set back the mouth and chin while also improving asymmetry and aligning the midline. When I asked, if surgery is recommended for scores of 7 or higher out of 0 to 10, what score I would be in the eyes of a director who has seen countless cases, he said 7ㅋㅋㅋ He gave a wise answer to a foolish question; It is general anesthesia, but the surgery time is short, 1.5 to 2 hours, so I liked that they said I wouldn’t need a urinary catheter. Originally it was 13.2 million won, but with a discount? it is 12 million won, and the consultant said if paying by cash bank transfer, a cash receipt is possible and it would be 11.5 million won. She said that includes 2 million won in examination fees and the cost of a 2-night, 3-day hospitalization for admission and discharge at the time of surgery. Compared with the clinic’s reputation, I thought the price was more reasonable than expected. She also told me the other additional costs would be around 100,000 won total (preoperative chest X-ray at an outside hospital, ECG, and medication costs). When booking the date, I would deposit a 200,000 won reservation fee, and pin removal is optional and separate from the surgery fee. She said it is 2 million won within 3 years / 3 million won after 3 years / 4 million won after 10 years. When I asked what the difference in pin removal timing was, she said it is the difference between whether the pins show on X-rays or not. The consultant who explained things also said she had received surgery from the director herself, so when she went over postoperative instructions, I trusted herㅋㅋ I plan to consult many other hospitals and study much more before deciding on surgery. Overall, it was a satisfying consultation.
