Before/after I originally had really severe pigmented dark circles for 15 years, and I was told there wasn’t much that surgery could do for pigmented dark circles, so I covered them with makeup and lived with it. But as I got a little older, even the under-eye fat started protruding.... Under-eye fat can’t be covered with makeup, and as time passed, the fat only protruded more, so I thought I really had to get a procedure.
I looked into many places and went to consultations at four clinics. This place was the most expensive, and the consultant didn’t exactly feel super friendly either.
But the reason I chose it was that, first of all, the director was very kind and explained the surgery-related consultation in detail in a way that felt trustworthy. Although the clinic did feel a bit factory-like, it seemed to have a well-established management system, and I thought they would have many procedure cases.
I had under-eye fat repositioning and also had fat harvested from my thigh for fat grafting to the anterior cheekbone area.
On the day of surgery, the anesthesia made me feel dizzy for a little longer than at other places, and my under-eye area hurt a lot..! I normally have no antibiotic side effects at all, but I even developed side effects from the antibiotics prescribed here, so the beginning was a bit hard.
In the early stage, the swelling was not severe, and the yellow bruising disappeared after about 2 weeks. Blood-tinged tears would sometimes well up, and a few small capillaries had burst.
It has now been one month since the procedure, and my under-eye area still feels a little firm and tight. It feels uncomfortable when I yawn or sneeze! It tends to hurt a bit if I touch it or it gets bumped.
The bulging under-eye fat area improved dramatically, and I remember being awake for much of the surgery. I remember the doctor answering even my nonsense(?) very sincerely and carefully.
I think the surgery itself was done meticulously, and even if I went back, I think I would have the surgery here again!
