Don’t they usually do a design consultation right before surgery? At the hospital I went to, there wasn’t that step where they draw it out. I didn’t know, so I just said one thing, “Please don’t make it too pointy!” and the surgery started right away. I was flustered, but since I already did it, now I have no choice but to leave everything to the doctor ㅠㅠ But I prefer a natural look, so even choosing celebrity photos was hard. I believe they did it well in a way that suits my face... I have to believe it haha. It seems to look like a straight-to-slightly-curved line, so I’m relieved. My line looks okay, right? ㅎㅎㅎ
My question is... the surgical method changed a little on the day of surgery. I only knew they were going to place a septal support at the nasal tip, but on the day of surgery they said that if they only raised the nasal tip, it could look oddly upturned, so they would thinly lay septal cartilage along the nasal dorsum connected to the tip. Is this kind of surgical method common? Is it essential when doing nasal tip surgery...?
I whined that it hurt, and yesterday I went back after just one day and had the nasal packing removed. I teared up, but it feels refreshing ㅠㅠㅠ Even though my nose is still blocked the same way, the feeling is different. I think the pain really only hurts on the day of surgery. It doesn’t hurt now, there’s just a bit of discomfort, and it’s much easier than double eyelid surgery. Right now it feels like my nose is runny and oozing, but I’m trying to manage it bravely by wiping it, disinfecting it, and applying ointment.
