BeforeAfterHello! It has been 6 months since I had 3 types of facial contouring (cheekbones, square jaw + front chin), mini lifting, removal of silicone from the nasal bridge, and revision rhinoplasty without an implant (autologous costal cartilage). I had always been concerned about my side cheekbones, my face looking long, elasticity, and my nose looking long. Now that I am writing this review and looking back, I suddenly feel that my past self, who decided to have everything done at once, was pretty impressive. Because I had all the surgeries at once, the post-op pain and recovery period were long, and it was a difficult time. But after enduring about a week, the rest was all solved by time.. I strongly feel that I made the right choice doing them together.
For my nose, after removing the silicone, I proceeded with surgery using autologous costal cartilage. Honestly, I was worried because I had seen many reviews from people struggling with pain from autologous costal cartilage, but aside from stiffness until day 3, I was completely fine. I did see posts saying that pain from autologous costal cartilage differs depending on the surgeon's skill, and Director Song's skill is indeed.. Since it was revision surgery, I followed the director's recommendation and proceeded without an implant, without being greedy. The director honestly told me that I should now give up my desire for silicone, and instead bring out the nasal tip line with autologous costal cartilage, so I proceeded with that. For the nasal bridge, since the high silicone was removed, my own nasal bridge, which I met again after 10 years, feels awkward, but I feel much more relieved about having removed it, and I really like my side profile. For facial contouring too, now that I look at my pre-op photos, I realize my chin really was long, and after surgery I can feel that my face has become smaller. There is still swelling remaining on the cheek side inside my mouth, but when I look at a 45-degree angle, I can definitely tell the line has become softer.
People around me only notice that I had nose surgery, and they don't notice the facial contouring, but they say my face has become slimmer and my impression looks more refined. Thanks to the lifting, the lower face has more firmness too, so I look in the mirror every day and feel satisfied.
As for eating, food still sometimes gets stuck between the healed intraoral incisions, so there is slight discomfort after meals, but other than that, I can eat hamburgers, wrap food in lettuce, and open my mouth just like before without any problems, and I have returned to daily life, including exercise, without restrictions. Soon I will go for my 6-month post-op follow-up, and I am looking forward to seeing whether the bones have fused well!
