Anyway, it’s been a long time, so I was going to just not write this, but I thought there might be people curious about reviews after more than a year, so I’m jotting this down in this community too. The area I most wanted to address before surgery was, as you may have noticed, my cheekbones... Maybe because my face was wide horizontally, I disliked how it looked spread out beside my nose, and my jaw looked small because of my cheekbones. Because of personal matters, I really wanted to have surgery by March at the latest, and I wondered what I was doing dragging my feet, so I quickly went around consultations and I think I saw up to four places in one day?? (Everyone here said it might be a bit intense, and somehow I did succeed, but I don’t recommend it I think three places is just right? It’s too exhausting) Before choosing a hospital, I think I checked cafes, apps, and hospital websites every day, and for hospitals with YouTube channels, I carefully checked what kind of style the directors had. Maybe thanks to that, at one hospital I even got complimented that it was obvious I had studied a lot before coming.. First of all, I really wanted a doll-like line, so I looked through all the places with many doll-line reviews and searched all the directors’ experience on apps too. In the end, I had it done at the place where the consultation style matched me best, and since everyone has different standards for cost, I hope you compare as many places as possible!!
I had cheekbones, square jaw, and anterior chin V osteotomy (Gore-Tex implant). I heard some places do double fixation for cheekbones, but personally I recommend triple fixation. For cheekbones, fixation is seriously important. There was a limit to how much bone could be removed from the anterior chin, so I had a Gore-Tex implant placed. After surgery, wow.. I remember feeling nauseous because of the anesthesia, my head was spinning, and my throat hurt a lot There was a slight tight pulling feeling in my face, but I don’t think that even counts as pain... Overall, after a day it became much more bearable, and I made full use of the facial contouring kit the hospital gave me and filled myself up with soft foods like pudding. I get irritable when I can’t eat rice, so a week after surgery I secretly ate regular food, but I don’t recommend it..
I remember going in and out of the hospital every week for aftercare, and continuously practicing opening my mouth with my fingers. From a little over two months, about two and a half fingers could fit in. As for swelling, even after one month, much of the major swelling went down. It’s better to keep watching the minor swelling, but as you can tell from the 2-week photo, I wore makeup and lived daily life just fine Honestly, right after surgery my body felt so exhausted that I teared up a little, but even if I went back, I’d still think about getting facial contouring again... Since it’s a surgery that requires caution, I think satisfaction is high if you research it well and do it.
