Originally, the outer corners of my eyes were tightly closed off like “clam eyes,” and my irises are on the larger side, so barely any white of the eyes showed. No matter how hard I did my makeup, I couldn’t fix that closed-off, stuffy look ㅠㅠ
So I decided to have surgery, spent a long time researching in a community and went to consultations here and there, then had surgery at Taco Plastic Surgery. It’s such a well-known clinic with many reviews, so I scheduled the surgery right away without needing more consultations haha
Since it was eye surgery, I was worried whether I would be able to get around right after surgery, so I went with a friend.
I don’t really remember what I said around the time I was waking up from anesthesia after surgery, but even while I was half-asleep, I could talk to my friend just fine lolololol
Even though they put an ice pack on my eyes right after surgery, they stung and burned so much that I remember telling my friend my eyes were on fire.
Anyway, with eyes that barely opened, I held onto my friend’s clothes and somehow made it home safely.
I had the surgery secretly from my father, since he is absolutely against plastic surgery.
I was careful not to face him directly at home and wore thick glasses, so somehow I wasn’t caught until the day my stitches were removed lolololol Even thinking about it now, it’s amazing. lololololololololololol
After removing the stitches, there was still a bit of redness around my eyes, but it was barely noticeable.
Now, unless someone looks very closely, they can’t really tell. Of course, someone with a sharp eye might notice right away.....
I saw a lot of posts saying lateral canthoplasty always reattaches 100%, but maybe because I had surgery in summer, mine actually didn’t reattach and became slightly overcorrected ㅠㅠ
It’s not extremely obvious, but on the outer corner of my right eye, a bit of inner tissue shows slightly like a lacrimal caruncle ㅠㅠ They said they would provide aftercare revision if it stressed me out too much, but honestly, I’m the type to live pretty casually, so it doesn’t bother me that much, and I’m just living with it.
Still, the eye shape came out naturally and nicely, so I’m very satisfied.

My eyes were so small to begin with that they don’t look dramatically bigger even after surgery, but I highly recommend it for closed-off clam eyes where the outer corners are steeply blocked and look stuffy. My impression definitely looks softer!!!
