I had my eyes and nose done at a one-doctor plastic surgery clinic in Seoul. My nose was short and very low, and they said I didn’t have enough septal cartilage, so they suggested doing it functionally. I said I wanted to avoid using that if possible, but they said they would open it up and decide. So I went ahead and lay down on the operating table.
In the end, they said they used donated costal cartilage.
Unlike during the consultation, on the day of surgery I felt like everything was done too carelessly, so I was anxious. After surgery, I didn’t absolutely love it either; it feels kind of ambiguous... The nostrils are uneven, and the columella that was built up also looks somewhat crooked. I thought they would correct things like this too, but I guess not ㅠㅠ I think I wasn’t prepared enough.
Surgery details Incisional double eyelid surgery (in-out line) Nasal bridge, nasal tip, bulbous nose correction (6 mm silicone, donated costal cartilage used)
Additional note As of September 24, 2021 It has now been 12 days since surgery. I know I still need to wait for the swelling to go down, but from what I can see, I don’t think it will change much, so when I visit the hospital in a month, I’m thinking of requesting A/S revision. I’m also bothered by how casually they looked at things during the preoperative design. If you have any tips, please share them.
