I’m relieved that I don’t have any contraction period yet. I’m cautious and uncomfortable touching my nose, but I’m satisfied. I had complete removal of the septal extension, silicone removal, nasal tip cartilage removal, through a closed approach. About 13 years ago, I had surgery with silicone + ear cartilage, and a year and a half ago, I had revision surgery with silicone + septal cartilage + ear cartilage. After the septal cartilage surgery, it was so uncomfortable that I had everything removed through a closed approach in early September. I didn’t take any anti-contracture medication. There’s still swelling left, so it’s higher than my original nose. They say the swelling will gradually go down over several months. I really feel like the nose is a place you shouldn’t touch. Everyone, stay strong, and for hospitals, you absolutely have to go in person and shop around.
