Nose Surgery Reviews

Miho Community Review

I traveled for an hour and a half, but the consultation with the director lasted less than five minutes. There were many people waiting, but the wait was not particularly long. I had a CT scan. They said they would raise the tip with autologous costal cartilage and correct the resulting step-off with ear cartilage and auricular dermis. They said the columella would look prettier if it were slightly brought out, so they suggested proceeding while bringing it out. They also said that if alar reduction alone were performed, the nose could become straight like the number 11, so they suggested reducing the nasal walls and making the nostrils rounder. They suggested raising the bridge by only 2 mm with customized silicone, but when I said I wanted no implant, they said then we should not touch the bridge at all. Director: He seemed to rush the consultation, perhaps because he had many bookings. He talked rapidly without giving me a chance to ask questions, then went out saying the coordinator would explain the rest. Coordinator: She recommended donor rib cartilage rather than silicone or autologous rib cartilage, but I felt a conversation about this with someone other than the director was meaningless. I was shocked when I saw the estimate. I felt it was too wasteful to invest 7.7 million won in a primary surgery without an implant. They said nasal-wall reduction and alar reduction were 2 million won each when done separately, but together would be adjusted to 2.2 million won when combined with rhinoplasty. Alar reduction alone was 4 million won. They had not explained the septum, so I first learned while preparing the estimate that septal cartilage would be used. I asked why it was included when I thought there was no reason to use septal cartilage if autologous rib cartilage was being used, and said I did not want septal cartilage. They did not properly explain why, only saying that using it would not cause collapse or the complications I was worried about. I remember being told that I could view the CCTV, but only after paying an additional fee. I do not remember the amount, but it was over 100,000 won. Postoperative care was better than at other clinics. In addition to basic aftercare, laser treatment for the autologous-rib scar was available. However, they informed me that the autologous-rib scar would remain even with laser treatment. They were fairly kind, but I felt this clinic was not a good fit in many ways because the coordinator did not seem to like discussing the surgical method.
