Breast Surgery Reviews

What it feels like to get surgery on an average chest with no upper-breast fullness...

Implants: Mentor Smooth 325 cc Incision: transaxillary incision Size: 70A -> 70C~C+

I was not someone with absolutely nothing to start with, and my chest was just average, not especially big or small. From the front, if I wore a bra that pushed everything together as much as possible, I could at least get some cleavage, but from the side, it just looked like sagging breasts with no upper-breast fullness, and I think that stressed me out the most. Other people say, “It doesn’t even show once you wear underwear and clothes, so why do you care so much?” But honestly, once something starts feeling like a complex, you obsess over it like crazy until it’s resolved. Because of my breasts, even when I wore slightly feminine clothes, I felt like the look didn’t come alive, so every day I only wore loose, oversized clothes..... It was a period when my self-esteem had really dropped, so it’s fair to say it was an off-season for my appearance lol

It took me a very long time to decide on breast surgery, but once I actually made up my mind, I think choosing a hospital went very quickly. I wasn’t in a position to go around to many consultations like other people, so after work I tried to read as many reviews as possible, then narrowed it down to places with pretty breast shapes and took one weekday off work to go around for consultations.

Because I was very sensitive about scars, I preferred a transaxillary incision over an inframammary incision, and fortunately, at a hospital where I liked the cost, the hospital system, and even the lifetime aftercare period, they said transaxillary incision was OK and at least a C-cup size was OK, so I was able to have the surgery.

On the day of surgery, honestly, I was so~~~ nervous that the whole day went by in a blur lol The hospital was easily an hour away from my house, so I begged my mom to come to the hospital with me. After surgery, I was out of it from the anesthesia, so I rested as much as possible until the anesthesia wore off, then went home in my mom’s car. But transaxillary breast surgery is honestly notorious for being very painful. For me, it wasn’t as severe as I had feared, but during the week of surgery, I still wanted to be as careful with my body as possible, so I asked my mom for all sorts of things, like opening doors and opening canned drinks for me lol. My mom said it felt like she was serving a princess sorry..

Then after about 2~3 weeks, moving my arms became a bit more comfortable, and I thought I could do almost everything on my own at that point. From then on, honestly, rather than thinking about pain, I was completely focused on my breast shape and the feel softening up. As I said earlier, I was the type with no upper-breast fullness. So I think I took side-profile photos every day and checked whether the upper volume had filled in well and whether the implants might be dropping more.

As for size, the director said he would put in the size I wanted, but I didn’t want my breasts alone to look excessively large, so I said I wanted to go up to about C+. When I wear a sports bra, it gives exactly the feeling I wanted, so I’m happy with it. But I’m only 3 months post-op, so I plan to keep watching it until the 6-month mark.
