My septum and columella are a bit deviated, and I feel like the shape of my nose itself doesn’t suit my face, so I’m planning to get revision surgery. For my first surgery, they used silicone, donated rib cartilage, and ear cartilage. The doctor made my columella hang down too long, so my nose itself feels like it’s drooping downward, and I’m not sure yet whether there’s any sagging due to absorption of the donated rib cartilage. If I want this revision to be the last time I touch my nose, does it absolutely have to be autologous rib cartilage? I heard autologous rib cartilage is heavy and hard, so could there be sagging caused by the weight of the autologous rib cartilage?
