Day 5 after surgery: I liked it. Week 2: an indentation appeared. Today I came to write my one-month review!
Day 12: As the swelling went down, an indentation like a thread-lifting dimple appeared above my left nasal ala. When I asked the clinic the next day, they said it was scar tissue and replied that it’s worst around months 1 to 2 and improves within a year.
Day 17: From the right glabella to the nasal bridge, it looked more shadowed than the left side and had subtly settled downward... Would it make sense if I said the left and right slope angles are different? The glabella is a bit bumpy, and I’m not sure whether it’s swelling or scar tissue.
Day 24: The clinic contacted me asking how the pinching was. They said it was okay as long as it didn’t get worse and scheduled me with the director for month 2. I also asked about the shadowing and settling, and they said it would be good to see the director, so I figured the answer would feel like, “Oh, it’s swelling~ please wait and see~,” and didn’t ask more.
Day 30: The glabella is still bumpy, shadowed, settled downward, and indented... Maybe the swelling moved down to the nasal tip, because I have a huge triangular bulbous nose with a wide base.
Right after surgery, maybe I didn’t notice because of the swelling, or maybe I’m paying more sensitive attention because this was a revision.... They say it’s a subtle difference and there’s no such thing as perfect symmetry, but I keep seeing only the lacking partsㅜㅜ At least the clinic contacted me first and seems to be paying attention, so that’s a relief, but I get stressed every time I look in the mirror. I hope all of this is just swelling and that with time it settles beautifully and becomes okay... I’ll come back in a month with another review after seeing the director.
