I don't think whether a doctor is kind or unfriendly is proportional to surgical skill. Please just take my personal opinion as a reference..
I was looking into various things like silicone, Gore-Tex, etc., and after hearing that a lot of revision surgeries are done with dermis, I got tempted and went for a consultation.
But on the way home, somehow a question mark popped up in my head. “A surgery with no prosthetic implant in the body.. If it's this good, why doesn't everyone do it? There must be a reason it hasn't become common..”
So I read various posts about dermis on the internet. For my first surgery, I gave up on dermis.
Conclusion 1. Difficult to remove when considering revision surgery in the future 2. Changes in the T-zone skin (becoming oily) 3. The nose changes along with weight gain and loss 4. I gave up because I thought there must be a reason it isn't popular
