Hello I posted on day 6 because I was so worried, and many people replied, which really comforted meㅠㅠㅠ Now all the splints are off, so I’m posting my day-10 review. I had ear cartilage nasal tip surgery + alar base reduction.
My preoperative nose was very bulky and my skin was on the thicker side, so honestly, I wasn’t expecting a major improvement. At consultations at other hospitals, they also said there probably wouldn’t be a big improvement. The worst-case scenario, I thought, would be if the size stayed the same but only the height increased.. After removing the splint, I felt somewhat relieved. My nose size had become noticeably smaller compared with before. Before the splint was removed, my nostrils also looked so elongated that I wondered if I was going to become Pinocchio, but when I actually saw it, I don’t think it looks as excessive as I had imagined. From the side, it still feels like my nose has been pulled out.. but I think it may improve more once the swelling goes down and it settles into place. They say ear cartilage gets absorbed too, and the nose becomes a bit lower? I just have to pray it settles well. I was so worried, but I think this is a sufficiently satisfying resultㅠㅠㅠ The stitches inside my nose and behind my ear are still there, and there is still a slight bruise around my eyes. I also don’t have much sensation at the nasal tip, and it aches a littleㅠ Then I’ll share my progress again later after the swelling goes down a bit~ Thank you so much to everyone who commented:)
