Nose Surgery Reviews@rhino-review

Failed surgery review ㅠㅠ

This is a review of a failed revision rhinoplasty. My nose was originally asymmetrical, and I didn’t like the rhinoplasty I had 6 years ago, so I decided to get a revision and went for a consultation through an acquaintance’s referral.

The doctor in charge came in briefly, glanced over my nose as if it was a bother, said barely a few words, and tried to leave. When I stopped him and asked questions, only then did he answer a few times with short, one-word-style responses and leave. Personally, I had seen a few acquaintances get decent rhinoplasty results at this hospital too, so I impulsively decided to have surgery there, and that was the problem.

The asymmetry my nose originally had was not corrected, and instead, the asymmetry of the nasal tip, which became higher during the revision surgery, got even worse. It stood out more in photos, so I felt it had actually gotten worse than before and requested a follow-up.

As soon as the doctor came into the consultation room, he spoke as if arguing with me, saying, ‘It was originally a crooked nose, it won’t work even if we do it again, and even if you have another revision, rib cartilage has to be used, so it will only raise the possibility of inflammation.’ Every time I asked something I was curious about, he answered irritably, ‘I told you it can’t be done?’ Then when my expression hardened, he just left.

From the preoperative consultation in the first place, there was no proper conversation at all about what I was curious about or what needed to be agreed on, and the result is completely unsatisfactory. I’m so angry at the attitude of consulting in this kind of way for surgery that changes someone’s face and just trying to take money. The consulting manager also tried to wrap things up by saying the doctor’s personality is originally like that, so they already get complaints from other patients too, and asked me to understand a little; that my nose isn’t as crooked as I think, that people won’t know if I don’t take photos, and that I just shouldn’t take photos from the lower angle. Could you say that if it were your own face? Why should I pay money and also have to understand the personality of that damn doctor who did surgery on me like this?

Even if the surgery turned out like this, I wouldn’t have left a review to this extent if they hadn’t consulted with me in that awful way. But I’m leaving this review because I’m furious at the extremely irresponsible attitude while making a business out of surgery that changes my face. It’s a plastic surgery clinic in the Megabox building near Exit 9 of Gangnam Station.
