One month and one week after removing 3 mm silicone and using autologous rib cartilage for the nasal tip

Hi, in my early 20s, I followed an acquaintance of my mom’s and got picked up in a van to a newly opened neighborhood plastic surgery clinic, got my nose done there, and it was a total disaster(?) but I just lived with it for 14 years lol I asked them to do it without an implant, but they said that wasn’t possible, so silicone I asked them to put in just 1 mm, and they said okay Then during surgery, I was under sleep anesthesia, but the local anesthesia wore off, and with my nose opened up they tried to anesthetize me again with injections (it hurt like f***) They said the bleeding kept coming out so the anesthesia wasn’t working, and just continued the surgery They did it while I was fully conscious like some test subject, feeling all the pain, so tears were streaming down, but they told me not to cry because my nose would swell, what the f*** And when it was over, I ended up with a crooked silicone bridge + scar tissue right in front of the nostrils + an L-shaped 3 mm silicone implant without discussing it with me Because I had that surgery basically raw, with the anesthesia worn off, I was traumatized and lived with it for 14 years, and thankfully there was no contracture or inflammation Early on I went back and complained about various things, but they said it would get better with time, and then the clinic went out of business; lol Later, a friend I met socially also had surgery there and hers was totally ruined too.... Anyway, after that I got married, had a child, and lived my life Then I finally made up my mind about my nose and searched like crazy online for revision surgery I looked into 4 clinics in person and went to 3 It was so hard going around while taking care of my kid, so even three places was barely manageable Most of the quotes I got were similar: lower the silicone and replace it + autologous rib or donated rib cartilage + functional nose surgery + bulbous nose correction + removal of nasal tip scar tissue At the third place, they strongly recommended autologous rib cartilage, and I decided to proceed with osteotomy too But two days before surgery, I kept thinking about it And I really just did not want silicone put in again Because the weekend was in between, on the day of surgery I told the director I just wanted the silicone removed He said he would do that and would pay careful attention to the step-off For about two weeks, it had been so long since I had surgery that I had no sense of it, and I thought it was ruined I was worrying about this and that, making a whole fuss, and even posted a few things here, but anyway, it seems like it turned out the way I wanted It does look natural Now that the swelling has gone down, a slight hump is almost visible, but not really Since it’s not noticeable, I’m just going to live with it I’m going to spend the rest of my life with this nose that’s way better than before,, I really never want to open my nose again, so I’ll just live with the few things I’m kind of dissatisfied with Maybe because of the osteotomy, even with functional nose surgery I don’t know if I’m breathing any better, and I still have some runny nose and breathing still feels a bit stuffy They said they removed the scar tissue, but it came back, so they said they’ll put me under sleep anesthesia and remove just the scar tissue So I do have to go back again Anyway, right now I’m about 70% satisfied But how long does the runny nose last..? After 3 months, will breathing get a bit better? If anyone knows, please comment The end~~
