Hello! It’s already been over 6 months since I had two-jaw surgery & 3 types of facial contouring (cheekbones, square jaw & chin) at Y Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Dental Clinic..!!! The recovery period that was really tough feels like just yesterday, but I opened my eyes and it’s already month 6 haha.. It’s fascinating, and time really is the best medicine.
Now that I’m at 6 months, the inflammation issue? I had at month 3 is completely gone, and I’m drinking and smoking very.. haha well, without any problems:) Now I think there’s almost no pain at the surgical sites ~~! Still, I’m being careful not to bump into anything yet I’m originally a bit insensitive(?) so I was never good at noticing reduced sensation anyway, so even now, not really,,? I don’t feel like sensation hasn’t returned. The swelling has also gone down a lot~! But my cheeks still feel a little swollen like a bulldog..?? There’s a slight feeling like that, but compared to the beginning, it has really gone down a lot. Honestly, at first I thought there wasn’t much difference in swelling from month 3, but wow, when I looked at the photos from then, there was a huge difference lololol
Now, more than the discomfort from surgery, the discomfort from orthodontic treatment bothers me so, so much lol Since my asymmetry was severe, I think I originally had a habit of barely chewing when eating and just swallowing, but I had lived that way my whole life and suddenly it changed, so it still feels awkward. Still, now that I’m free from severe asymmetry,,!! I’m working on it. I’m really looking forward to after I take off my braces next year.
Since the purpose of the surgery from the start was to correct asymmetry, it’s not a face that obviously looks operated on, and honestly, it turned out so natural that if I don’t tell my friends, they wouldn’t even know I had surgery!! The asymmetry itself has improved a lot, so friends who knew my old appearance tell me it was corrected naturally and well haha. The change I’m most satisfied with is that my original asymmetry was especially! severe when taking photos, I mean when caught on camera But now hahaha I very~ comfortably put my face in front of the camera <>< Of course, I’m not saying it became 100% symmetrical, but honestly there are hardly any people in this world who are 100% symmetrical, right!? I’m so satisfied that I’ve become like my ordinary other friends I just want to get my braces off quickly… hahaha I’ll come back with a 1-year review~~!
