My condition: I had silicone and costal cartilage used.. My nose was naturally very short, and I wanted to raise it with septal cartilage, but... they said there was no septal cartilage they could use.. and that ear cartilage would absolutely not give me the line I wanted..
The line I wanted: since my bridge was basically nonexistent and my nose was short, I just wanted to have a bit of a nose... Even before surgery, I kept begging them, please make it natural, natural. This is where my mistake started.
If I wanted something natural from the start, I should have just used ear cartilage. I went to about 5 clinics, and they all said septal cartilage could not be used, and that I had to use either ear or costal cartilage, but I only kept hearing that using ear cartilage probably would not look pretty, so in the end, even though it was my first surgery, I ended up using costal cartilage..^^... I searched, wondering, do people use costal cartilage for a first surgery? But.... every clinic I went to told me to use costal cartilage, so what was I supposed to doㅜㅜ
After surgery: ? From the first day, I knew it was not the line I wanted... I felt like my nose was too high. And even after the stitches were removed, when the swelling was severe in the beginning, I thought it was ruined.. but I lived with it, thinking there was nothing I could do. But from 2 weeks later, the tip of my nose kept turning red and the inside started throbbing a lot.. From then on, I felt like I was screwed. I kept going to the clinic and calling them, and they told me it was because the tip had been raised too aggressively.. and that it would get better soon, but The foreign-body sensation was so, so, so, so severe and it hurt, so instinctively I knew it had gone wrong... The tip of my nose turned red several times a day.. From what I saw, it was not inflammation, and after constantly searching, I realized that because the nasal tip had been raised too aggressively, there was a problem with blood flow, making the tip red, and because costal cartilage was used, the foreign-body sensation became severe ㅜㅜ..
But as the days went by, it turned red more often.. and it throbbed so much I could not sleep, and by then I could not live without the anti-inflammatory medicine? prescribed by the clinic and Tylenol ㅜㅜ So I went to the clinic where I had the surgery and asked them to remove it, but they said early removal was already off the table.. that it was not inflammation, so they could not remove it now.. and that revision care was free, but I should come back after 6 months.
For a month, like I had developed a mental illness, I came to this community several times a day, watched YouTube, visited clinics, and could not sleep. I spent almost 2 months like that. Some people might say I was overreacting when I did not even have contracture, but for me, those two months were so, so painful, and I wanted to die.
Just in case, I went to removal clinics, thinking that if they told me my condition was at least okay and that I should wait 6 months before removal.. even if I had to live taking medicine every day.. I thought I would feel psychologically okay.... So I went to several removal clinics. What they all said was, it has been a month and a half? 2 months.. How did you live in this condition.. Were you able to breathe at all.. When they looked inside my nose, because it had been raised excessively with costal cartilage, cartilage was protruding inside, everything was swollen, and ah, it was a total mess. There was even something like acne inside my nose. Normally removal is possible from 6 months onward, but everyone... everyone... said removal was possible now.
Consultation details((())))) 1: Since it was no longer early removal, it needed to be removed quickly, as quickly as possible. The nose shape could almost go back to my previous nose ㅜㅜ
2: Could not guarantee my previous nose. It could become lower. (It was already Voldemort-level, so what happens if it gets even lower....)
3: The nose would not get lower, but they could not guarantee the nose shape.
After the consultation, I immediately decided on number 1... Honestly, numbers 2 and 3 felt more sincere, but I..... was desperate, so I chose the place that could at least somewhat restore my original shape..... Everyone has to make their own choice because they are the one who bears the responsibility....
I cried during the consultation.. lol It was scary to hear that I might not be able to go back to how I was. I came to love my nose that could breathe, even if it was ugly..;; I had basically no nasal bridge, and they said it could get even lower from there... lol All the doctors told me to calm down ㅜㅜ
So in the end, I just had it removed.... Usually, even when removing it, they remove it mostly through a closed approach, but because mine had been raised with an extremely, extremely large piece of costal cartilage, it had to be removed through an open approach.
It has been about 10 days since surgery, and it became 20% prettier than my original nose... I am satisfied.. But I think I would have been satisfied even if it had not become prettier. On the day of surgery, even with the splint on and nosebleeding, I could breathe well... there was no foreign-body sensation and no pain.... All I could think was that I was relieved... If complete removal or cartilage repositioning were guaranteed 100% to return me to my original nose or go well, I would have done it with peace of mind, but doctor number 2 said they were not confident and that it could become even lower than my original nose... lol Who would immediately have surgery after hearing thatㅠ Still, I am glad it went well.... haha^^
Honestly, because I got lucky and it went well...... Now, whether someone else ruins their nose surgery or not is none of my business. I only come to this community when things go wrong, not because I want to brag. Nose surgery? If you want to do it, do it... Honestly, I want to stop you, but you are not my acquaintance.. Do not rashly think that you will not be the unlucky person who gets side effects.... What I realized after this went wrong is that cosmetic-surgery apps only show the successful cases, but if you search the internet, there are many ruined people like me.. I got off easy. I went back to my own nose.... and I did not have contracture... I do not know about other areas, but the nose is hard to do just once. Everyone knows how many revision surgeries there are. Sigh.
Still, if you really want to do it ㅜㅜ Even if you are lucky and do not get side effects, the cartilage will sag 10-20 years later. You will have to remove it then. And the more you touch the nose, the stranger it becomes.
Do not trust Babitalk or YouTube. The place where I had cosmetic surgery (not the place where I had the removal surgery) runs a YouTube channel, and even though it is a one-doctor clinic, the reviews were good, and it had the line I liked the most, a natural-looking line, so I looked it up and went there. I had not really heard of it much, and it was not a famous place in this community either.. But it was somewhat famous on Babitalk for natural-looking lines, and I went after watching YouTube, lol. As expected, maybe obscure places are obscure for a reason. Now that I look at YouTube, all the comments look manipulated too hahaㅋ I cannot believe I stupidly realized this only now.. I do have side effects now, but my post is on Babitalk. At first, I promised to upload a review, so even though I look like this now, on Babitalk there is a post with photos saying I love it so much. Seriously lol;; There must be many people like me, right? Do not trust Babitalk or Gangnam Unni.
From here on, it is just personal talk.
The desire to become prettier... I think all women feel it... I think I had nose surgery because of the desire to become a little prettier.. But after it went wrong once, I realized a lot.. I asked myself honestly.
So what if my nose becomes a little prettier...:? Will that get me a job...? Even if I do it, it is not like I will become stunningly beautiful. Will I get a boyfriend..? From nose surgery? And what if I do get one ㅜㅜㅜㅜㅜㅜㅜㅜㅜ It is not like my self-esteem would become higher. I would probably just develop an obsession with my appearance and spend even harder, more painful days.. Next time, forehead, lips, more and more.. I would just be an ordinary person whose selfies come out a little better, and I would have lived my whole life consumed by anxiety over having had nose surgery..
I still have not completely let go of my desire about my appearance, but through this experience, I let go of a lot. I feel grateful for a nose that lets me breathe normally and eyes that let me see the world, and now I plan to live happily. I do not think I will ever have nose cosmetic surgery again.. Procedures, I do not know. Maybe 10 years later I will forget that this nose disaster happened and be getting forehead filler or lip filler.. lolㅜ Still, even if I die, I will not touch my noseㅜㅜ ㅜㅜ
I wrote this too messily, right? Everyone, be happy.. I will also live my life happily now. Appearance is good too, but.... I will also care about what is inside my head, and I will live warmly and happily with my family.. Everyone, be good to your parents tooㅜㅜ And express your love too.....
