I didn’t have any inflammation or contracture, but just suddenly.. because of anxiety that came over me, I wanted to have it removed ㅠㅠ (2015.01 ear cartilage + silicone 3 mm) From the beginning, I intended to remove both the cartilage and all the silicone, but because of circumstances, I couldn’t be away from home for long.. At first, I went to a plastic surgery clinic near my house, and they told me not to remove the ear cartilage because it doesn’t cause side effects.. (I regret listening to that so much ㅠㅠ) I had a lot of anxiety, so because I wanted to get rid of that anxiety, I had local anesthesia and had it taken out right away that same day..
I was satisfied with how it looked afterward, since it wasn’t as bad as I expected.. (Even after removal, no one could tell the difference..) But leaving the ear cartilage in bothered me so much that while searching, I found out there is something called ear cartilage show-through.. Ha, I really didn’t know ㅠㅠㅠㅠ After seeing that, it felt like my ear cartilage was showing through too.. and I felt like I was needlessly sensing a foreign-body sensation, so again, like I was mentally ill, I searched online ㅜㅜ and then.. made a reservation ㅠㅠ
Honestly, it would be right to look into it enough, go to consultations, and proceed.. but because of my circumstances, I’m in a situation where I shouldn’t be focusing on other things ㅠㅠ I wanted to resolve the issue quickly, so I booked the hospital and also booked the surgery for the same day ㅠㅠ
I went for the consultation.. The director was kind.. but when I asked questions, it did feel a bit like he was annoyed ㅠ Kind of like I was asking something obvious..? He isn’t the type to really reassure the patient ㅠ Still.. it wasn’t like he said anything that made me feel terribly bad, like in the online reviews. I had no other choice, so I entrusted it to him ㅠㅠ
I had it done under sedation, and when I woke up, it seemed like the surgery had finished after about 30-40 minutes..? Maybe because I only did the nasal tip, I didn’t have a splint, just taping.. and I’m on my way home.. What I’m most worried about is my nose becoming upturned, so I asked them to pay attention to that part, but when I looked in the mirror, because of the tape, my nose looked like it had narrowed and lifted upward.. so I freaked out and asked the nurse, and she said no, it was because of the tape.. ㅠ So I’m reassured and on my way home, but this happens to other people too, right..?!! ㅠㅠ I’ll leave another review after removing the tape ㅠ
Oh, for reference, when I removed only the silicone, there really wasn’t a big difference! But because of the contraction phase, one nostril did lift slightly, but it was very minor.. Of course, it had only been 2 weeks since removing only the silicone..
Anyway ㅜㅜ If you’ve decided on removal, I hope you just do a full removal ㅠㅠ!!! Don’t do it twice and waste money twice like me ㅠㅠㅠ!
If anyone has gone through the contraction phase, could you also share your reviews?? ㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠ I do feel relieved, but I’m a bit worried about the contraction phase ㅠㅠ
