Revision surgery after 7 years At first, I went in with the naive thought that if I went to a large hospital, experienced doctors would just take care of everything well according to my nose~ and had it done.
But even now, I did end up with a doctor who is famous for noses. Still, looking back now, 7 years ago he was probably at an age where he didn’t have that much experience..
Anyway, my bulbous nose improved and my nose did get higher, but the problem was that almost exactly 1 month later, the nasal tip drooped right away (the whole tip had been done with ear cartilage), and the nasal bridge near the glabella became crooked. Because of the crooked nasal bridge, seriously.. for 7 years, it was a complex + stress.
This time, I chose doctors on YouTube whose explanations felt trustworthy, booked consultations with 2 of them, and just in case, also booked a consultation with the doctor who did my previous surgery. I live outside Seoul now, so I packed all the appointments into one day. The first slot was with the original director, but the timing before the second consultation was way too tight, so I didn’t actually get the consultation, rescheduled it, and moved on to the second hospital. Actually, the second hospital was the hospital where I ultimately had the surgery, and the director there was my top pick in my mind, so it was more important. For the original director, my main purpose was just to ask why my nose had ended up like this and what material had been used. Looking at that doctor’s reviews even now, he still keeps doing very high, flashy noses starting from the glabella, like my nose after the first surgery. Because of that, my already large nose looked like it started from the eyebrow level and became longer, making my midface look too long, which I also hated. Anyway, I went for a consultation with Dr. ㅇㄱㅁ at the second place, ㅇㅂㅈ. Unlike on YouTube, he didn’t talk a lot or seem extremely friendly, but somehow he felt trustworthy and confident. So the price was more expensive than I expected, and it felt a bit like I was getting overcharged, but I felt like, “Director, shut up and take my money,” so I didn’t go to the third hospital or back to the first hospital and just set a surgery date. Because I went for consultation at the end of March, and there were only a few possible surgery dates left in April, so I felt rushed... Ha.. I’m tired. Surgery day and shape review will be in part 2...
