Review after 1n years of orthodontic treatment

I had orthodontic treatment when I was young, and it’s been a long~ time now. In my case, the teeth right next to my front teeth had gone behind my lower teeth. I’m really satisfied that I got orthodontic treatment. But what was unusual is that I had my treatment overseas. When I went around dental clinics in Korea to get orthodontics, everyone said they would need to extract two teeth on the top and two on the bottom, four in total, to create space. But the overseas dentist said, “Why are you trying to extract healthy teeth? Even now, it’s already aesthetically pretty enough, so don’t extract healthy teeth.” They strongly opposed it, so I didn’t extract them, you know? And now, after 1n years, I really think it was the right choice. Honestly, it’s been more than ten years, and it’s been a long time since I lost my retainer too?? I really didn’t manage it well, but maybe because I didn’t extract teeth, they haven’t shifted much, and the gaps between my teeth aren’t huge either. Every doctor has a different opinion, but I feel like always doing extractions could lead to poor long-term outcomes, so since I joined, I’m sharing my review~!~!
