Double-Jaw Surgery Reviews@jaw-review

4-month review after double-jaw surgery

It’s been about 4 months since I had double-jaw surgery~

My face had a protruding lower jaw, and my lower face was on the larger side, and my teeth had malocclusion where the lower teeth protruded farther forward!

So I was told that if I only got orthodontic treatment, my lower teeth could end up looking tilted back... They said orthodontics couldn’t correct the jawbone itself, and that if I wanted improvement in my face as well, I would need surgery too. So I decided to get double-jaw surgery. Before the surgery, I first went through presurgical orthodontic treatment, and I had double-jaw surgery this January~

Right after the surgery, because of the anesthesia, my head hurt so much and I felt nauseous, and I couldn’t eat, couldn’t talk, and couldn’t breathe properly, so I really went through a lot, but now my condition has fully recovered and I can totally go about daily life~

First of all, in conclusion, the surgery went well! I don’t have any discomfort anywhere right now, and all my nerve sensation is alive. My teeth now have the upper teeth covering the lower teeth, and I think the functional aspect improved well.

As for my face, my lower face got smaller and slimmer, and from the side, my chin has also moved back a lot.   But the swelling still hasn’t all gone down, so my nose seems a bit bigger, and I have some double-chin fat and my face looks a bit like a pufferfish? Even my philtrum still feels numb and tight. My constitution makes me swell easily and makes swelling slow to go down... Well, they say swelling from double-jaw surgery can last over a year, so I guess I need to wait a bit longer for this?
