While going around for functional rhinoplasty consultations, I kept thinking, "There are tons of plastic surgery clinics in Gangnam, but not a single hospital I likeㅠ," and it really felt like I was just wasting time. There was always at least one thing I didn't like. Either the director wasn't great, the consultant was unfriendly, the hospital facilities weren't good, or the price was absurdly expensive. But I found a hospital I really liked and even had surgery, so I'm writing a review to encourage people who are exhausted from clinic-hopping like I was.
First, the hospitals I consulted at: ㅁㅇㄷ ㅋㄴㅍ ㄹㅂㄹ ㄷㅇㅇ ㄹㅂ one I can't remember
It was seriously about a 4-month long journey until I got functional rhinoplasty, so I'll list it out one by oneㅎ
1. Canceling my surgery reservation at another hospital I had originally paid a deposit and fixed a surgery date at one of the hospitals I consulted at above. But because of personal circumstances, the gap between the consultation and surgery got too long, so I had another consultation before surgery. But should I say the hospital's feeling or atmosphere had changed?.. Anyway, it wasn't the same hospital I first consulted at. Naturally, all desire to get on the operating table at that hospital disappeared, so I just canceled the surgery. *Even if you ask in the comments which hospital it was, I won't answer* I think it's because I'm sensitive to things like the energy of a hospitalㅎ There wasn't any other major reason.
2. How I ended up going to ㅂㅌㅇ So after deciding to cancel and heading home, on my way to take the subway at Sinnonhyeon Station, I saw the sign for Between Plastic Surgery. It used to be the ㄹㅈ Plastic Surgery building, but ㄹㅈ was gone and a lot of new hospitals had opened there. So I got curious and searched on Babitalk, and it turned out to be a hospital opened by a doctor who used to be at ㅇㄴㅋ as the chief director. And I had actually had surgery from this director back when he was at ㅇㄴㅋ, and I had been living well and satisfied with it. Just at the right time, they were also running a functional rhinoplasty event, so I applied for a consultation, and from then on I had a feeling like I might get surgery here.
3. Consultation The hospital is newly opened, so everything is completely new. The front-desk coordinators are kind, and the consultants are kind too. The consultation process was: first CT scan, then a brief design and functional rhinoplasty consultation with the consultant, then consultation with the director, then price consultation with the consultant. When asked about previous surgery, I said I had surgery with the director at ㅇㄴㅋ before, and when I went in for the director's consultation, he even remembered my jobㅎㅎ I was really surprisedㅋㅋ I don't know whether he saw the medical records from the previous hospital or really remembered, but whether it was records or memory, I felt that he was a meticulous person. I also saw on ㅂㅂㅌ that when he was at medical school, he received an award for writing medical records well. Ah, what touched me the most was that during consultations at the other hospitals above, they said I needed all the functional nose surgeries, but this director said inferior turbinate hypertrophy surgery was unnecessary. He compared the left and right sides using my inferior turbinate CT scan, and it really looked like there was no need for surgery. Imagine if I had done the inferior turbinate surgery somewhere else too... The insurance company probably would have refused my actual-expense reimbursement, asking why I did inferior turbinate surgery when it wasn't necessary... Then during the consultation with the consultant again, I got the price information, and the price was inexpensive, which was really nice. I also liked that the functional rhinoplasty price made up a higher proportion and the cosmetic rhinoplasty price was low. I could also have surgery on the day I wanted, so I booked surgery for just two days later. Ah, and CT imaging is free here too!
4. Surgery On surgery day, I paid the remaining balance, listened to precautions with the consultant, filled out the consent form, and then had the final consultation with the director. If you ask for CCTV recording on the day, you can check the recorded footage at your follow-up. I also asked them to record it that day and was going to check it at my follow-up, but the surgery went so well that I still haven't felt the need to check the surgery video. I hope I never have a reason to check it going forwardㅎㅠㅠ. AS is available for up to 2 years. The nurses in the operating room here are really kindㅜ Honestly, there aren't many hospitals where even the operating room nurses are kind, and this was only the second hospital where the operating room staff were kind. Since I was so anxious, they kept reassuring me that this hospital really doesn't have substitute surgeries or fatal accidents, so I didn't need to worry. Thank you againㅠㅠ
5. Postoperative treatment I've gone for my second treatment so far, and the director always checks my progress. I think it's really good that it doesn't feel like a different hospital before and after surgery, or before and after payment.
For now, that's it. Next week, once the splint is removed and the swelling goes down a bit, I'll take photos and upload them tooㅎ I'm glad all the clinic-hopping wasn't for nothing, and I heard actual-expense insurance reimbursement is strict these days, but I'm so satisfied that even if I don't get reimbursed, it wouldn't feel like a wasteㅎㅎ Still, I am going to get reimbursed, but anyway, that's it
